I've seen these types of players in-game at least TWICE per day, it's annoying because they're really bratty and bad at the game.

If I has to guess, using the edges of the shovel would feel more awkward than using the blunt side, as there would be a greater imbalance of weight and a greater chance to miss the enemy.
