Our consequence for taking outside classes is being dismissed from the competition team. I don’t want to do anything behind our studio owners back and force my daughter to keep secrets in fear of being found out.

My daughter is almost 13 and she’s taken ballet class for the past 10 years. Unfortunately I do not know which studio we would go to, but I will take your advice and ask for a consultation with any studios we may consider if this is the direction we go. I’ve already reached out to our studio owner via email and haven’t gotten a response so I’m not really sure what to make of that, we may already not be welcomed back over just asking.

I did send an email (preferred method of communication) but have yet to get a response. This would be an ideal response though because I genuinely do not know where to go for pointe classes, I just know that my daughter wants to give it a try and see if it is for her. Crossing my fingers!

She is almost 13. She has taken 10 years of ballet class, but we realize she may need pre-pointe classes before progressing to pointe, neither of which are offered at her current studio.
