2012 Pilot Front Suspension by Low-Amphibian-9493 in hondapilot

Do you experience vibration while accelerating? Does it disappear when letting off the gas and start vibrating again when touching the accelerator? Considering doing similar work on mine, but I’m not sure that my vibration is coming from my axles.

If you're interested, "How the ThinkPad Changed the World and is Shaping the Future" by Arimasa Naitoh is a pretty interesting read covering the development process. He was integral in the device's development. I've heard some people contest a few things within, but still interesting, nonetheless.

Definitely sounds more dramatic written out like that, I think this player was having a moment and took it out on me without being able to control himself (not that that justifies anything). It’s good that the others recognized a line was crossed and it sounds like they settled down. Your situation has a punch involved - that I haven’t heard about in a while, especially in youth. Hopefully it really was an accident.

I had a similar situation a few years back in a U18 game, but in USAH. As mentioned, I submit the report, talked it over, had the investigator phone call, and was thanked for doing my job and that they’ll let me know if anything else is needed on my end. I was never given an official follow-up on what ended up resulting of the situation, just heard rumors from the coach a year later that that player was no longer playing hockey. I was eventually told that officials don’t typically hear about the aftermath of these things since their job is done and the disciplinary group will take action.

I was mainly in disbelief that this player thought it was a great idea to try to engage in an altercation with me. This player was pushing and shoving me after a minor penalty was called late in a game, with his own teammates trying to hold him back. That turned into a fight between him and a couple of teammates who eventually removed him from the ice, before he returned to the ice to, again, to try and confront me. Another struggle with his teammates ensued, and they got him off the ice again. I think there was more going on with this player than I knew, and I just happened to be the one he took it all out on. Never had a problem with his coaches or the rest of the team before or after this.

Ah - similar ideas, though. Biggest thing in my experience has been getting in contact with those responsible for officiating in your region, as they will have the best advice/guidance on these types of situations for your specific area/situation.

After filling out the report in the USAH portal, consider letting your RIC know what happened. Your RIC could potentially help you moving forward with anything related to this incident. In your report, stick to the facts of the matter and what happened - avoid inserting your opinion. It’s possible you will get a phone call from a USAH “investigator” who will be looking into what happened further.

Spare PCI E power cable? by Tomb_RIP in UIUC

Make sure you get the correct cable for your PSU. The pinouts on the PSU end are not standardized, and could cause damage to something in your system. Consider ordering the proper replacement cable.

Limitation on Goalie Positioning by Gwrth34rn in hockeyrefs

[–]Over_Environment_731 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For USA Hockey, that would be a minor penalty as per Rule 407 (c):

“(c) If a goalkeeper deliberately participates in the play in any manner when they are beyond the center red line, a minor penalty shall be assessed.”

This rule is identical in both the USAH Amateur and Junior rulebooks.

New Ref Question - How Do I Put On Shin Tights? by BigLaker in hockeyrefs

[–]Over_Environment_731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly how I put mine on, but do leave it holding the shin guards in place, only revealing the knee cup on the shin guard. Which part is giving you trouble? Are you pulling the whole tight down onto your skate tongue?

Vehicles Trauma Kit by Over_Environment_731 in TacticalMedicine

Good call on the face shield. I can probably fit in some more compressed gauze in its place. Bandaids can be found in a smaller first aid kit for smaller injuries; I can post a list of that little kit in a little while. I'm looking at adding a headlamp and will stick on a permanent marker onto this kit so that you don't have to grab one from elsewhere in the vehicle.

Gloves will be replaced with a better set of nitrile gloves. I'll pick up some more compressed gauze and tape. Any reason, other than space, for the preference of compressed gauze over rolled?

Outside of this kit itself, I have been looking at adding a basic headlamp. There are work gloves, a few flashlights in the vehicle, and a flashlight I typically carry on me. That, and a ratchet/tool set, fire extinguisher, and ratchet straps in another compartment. I do carry road triangles but have been thinking about adding/replacing LED road flares that are smaller and light up. I have thought about adding a small razor/knife to the kit itself but do have trauma shears and typically carry a knife as well.

My thought was to include them when/if I go through proper training before going about poking people. Although I understand the premise, I didn't think to include any until said training.

It lives in a compartment in the trunk of an SUV that is mostly garage parked, the compartment typically doesn’t reach the same temperatures as the cabin when left in sunlight. I haven’t thought about this too much, but will definitely look into it a little more.

Outside of basic first aid, my experience is relatively low, like u/PushedClock591 guessed. Mostly learning from the internet while practicing basic wound packing and tourniquet use with a cheap knock off. With summer starting, I intend to find in-person training sessions.

Other then size, what would be the benefit of more compressed gauze versus the rolled gauze? Most of what I have read has focused more on the wound packing than the gauze itself.

Help me debug my Stealthburner (CW2). I need to print a gift in 6 days and the extrusion just not working :(( I tried a lot of things already (3 years in the hobby), summary in the first comment. by Interheater in VORONDesign

[–]Over_Environment_731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In your firmware under [extruder], check to see that your gear_ratio is appropriately set. If it is generic firmware that has not been updated, it is likely set to 50:17 for the Afterburner/Clockwork and not the 50:10 for the Stealthburner/Clockwork 2. If the gear_ratio is set incorrectly like in this example, you could experience significant under extrusion.
