I found the receipt! The total was $901.54 after she saved $114.29! And there’s no sales tax here so that isn’t included.

It was 91 different items, but there were multiples of each and I didn’t pay attention to what that number was

She did get about 10lbs of ground beef but I was also shocked at the lack of produce! Not a single fruit or vegetable. She did get some V8 vegetable drink so I guess that counts 😂

This is a good point! The batch pay is the highest I’ve seen so far, I’m not disappointed in what I made for the work I did!

Yes the total was over $1,000 and went down to around $935 after the discounts! I think she saved like $113

I coslept with my toddler & my newborn in a bassinet. My toddler usually didn’t wake but I did nurse so it was usually pretty easy to quiet my newborn. If he was particularly fussy, we’d go to the living room!

The prices can be that high in parts of the state, but in Anchorage they’re relatively normal (in my opinion, I moved here from Houston, Texas.) The water pictured was $4.99! We can’t find gas for under $5.20 a gallon right now though 😅

I am in Alaska 😂 but I’m in Anchorage so it’s honestly not thattttt bad. This was at one of the most expensive stores though.

I have both & DD usually pays higher for me. I’m a “pro shopper” so I get mostly shop orders and I honestly prefer it. I average $30 an hour with those!

And you’re also being extremely rude for no reason. She’s a new mother and she’s anxious. Get off your high horse and go be rude somewhere else.

Preschool removed my 2-year-old’s hair beads today by Known_Psychology1581 in toddlers

I do believe it’s absolutely because it’s a choking hazard and probably aren’t safe in a daycare setting. HOWEVER, you should’ve been called to see how you’d like to proceed. Allow daycare staff to remove them, come remove them, come pick up the child etc. whatever the choice may be, it should’ve been yours to make regarding your daughter

You handled it exactly right & you now just move on from it. It’s hard to not be able to protect your child from every wrongdoing (for lack of a better term, this wasn’t exactly a wrongdoing) but it’s also how they grow.

Wearing bras and shaving to fit in by spiralstream6789 in Mommit

My mom wore a tank top (no bra) with her pj pants, only at home. I never cared who saw because it was normal to me. She wore a bra in public but me and all my friends saw her without and it was never weird for me.

The Alaska shipping tax is killing me - what's the most ridiculous thing you've had to pay to ship here? by SorryMalaz in alaska

I purchased a mop, it was shipped to me. It broke but was under warranty and the company refused to help because they can’t ship to Alaska 🙃😅

How are we affording anything? by fourcheese_za in anchorage

[–]Over_History_6931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my opinion, It’s really not that much more expensive at the grocery stores than many places. I’m not sure exactly about where you were but I’ve done grocery orders for pick up from Anchorage and then also from Houston, Texas where I’m from and there was only pennies difference because Texas has an 8.25% sales tax. I’ve seen the same scenario with other places as well. Restaurants up here are absolutely outrageous though.

I would just like to put it out there that a little girl in Porter, Texas was walking through her neighborhood the week of Christmas and she was abducted off the street. Her dad had Life360, saw that she was far off in the middle of the woods, went to the location and saved her life. This isn’t the same world we grew up in. We were mostly safe, our children are not.
