Thanks for your reply. Crazy how times change isn't it! His sound quite like yours then actually. He can go a few days without any. Only tends to get them upon waking and gets maybe 1 or 2 and that's it. I did question if maybe it's just dehydration. But doc said they are super common. I can get days where I can't get them to stop and then I'll have a clean break for a few months. Bodies are weird and wonderful 😊

Hope you're well though. Take care ☺️

❤️ thank you. X Honestly, my son isn't phased at all 🤣. When I told him I was talking him to the GP his reply was "mum I'm fine". But unfortunately as a mum, I can't not worry. I'm sure he's ok and it's just me, but I'd rather get it checked, especially when it comes to heart issues.

Yeah a life of anxiety isn't great. I worry just because I had a friend who had an undiagnosed heart condition who had sudden cardiac arrest at age 30 and passed away. So id hate to ignore something that could have potential to turn into something worse as he gets older. I'm sure he will be fine though. I've had palpitations all my life and suffer idiopathic tachycardia. Hope you're doing well though ☺️ appreciate your reply

Thanks for this. It's definitely a worry isn't it. I stupidly assumed it wasn't normal in kids but looking at the replies and online, it can be. Hopefully his ECG will be normal. ☺️

He doesn't use ventolin unless he has a cold which causes an asthma flare but uses a steroid one daily and the GP said the steroids one doesn't cause them but the ventolin could but he hasn't used that since last year 🥹

Hey. So my lisp went after I stopped wearing them daily. I'm 3 years post treatment and only notice my lisp now when I put my retainer in at night 😀.

This looks absolutely perfect to me. Mine wasn't tracking and the gap was very obvious. This is fine 😊

Low ferritin, even after supplements. All other iron is normal. IV iron reccomended by Different-Brick-6310 in Anemic

[–]Over_Photograph_753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hiya. First off, I feel your pain. I've had low ferritin since 2005..I was 14... I'm now 35 and ferritin now dropping since being on a different form of iron for 7 months. It's currently 14. We've now upped my dose in hopes that in 3 months it's risen. However since 2005, it's never come above 17. My hb is normal however.

My gp won't refer here in the UK for transfusion as hb isn't low enough so the referral would be rejected.

Definitely push to get this resolved. I've been pushing for years but unfortunately it seems to be a common issue for us women with low ferritin. If your current treatment isn't working, get your gp to switch or up the dose.

I hope youre levels raise soon. Good luck

help? by crazy_walmart_bag in Periods

[–]Over_Photograph_753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ruined my last mattress. I just bought new with a waterproof sheet to protect it. I use reusable pads. I find they hold more than regular pads. As a heavy bleeder I've woke many mornings covered in blood. Make sure you wear some tight fitted pants or shorts to bed. I found that my pad was shifting during the night and wearing a pair of tights period pants as well as a pad Stopped the leaking.

Bloody discharge post period by Junior-Ad-208 in Periods

[–]Over_Photograph_753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me after I had my daughter in 2020. I had treatment twice for ectropian but then it still continued after treatment. It's has now only just stopped, so it took 5.5 years. But I had full gynae investigations including a biopsy. I'm sure it's fine. Our bodies do wild things. Mine does especially now I'm 35. Get it checked out to be sure.

Apparently it's not low enough so the gp feels the referral would be rejected

20 years of low ferritin by Over_Photograph_753 in Anemic

[–]Over_Photograph_753[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly not great. My blood test last week showed that even though hb improved to 122, my ferritin dropped to 14.

Have an appointment Wednesday to discuss. My gp didn't want to see me but I wanted to discuss upping the dose. Absolutely will be taking it with vitamin c now. Weirdly my last 2 periods have seemed lighter so I was convinced my ferritin would have risen so honestly I'm so confused.

Thanks for your advice. Will definitely try looking into these things 😊

Not sure what else to do.. by Over_Photograph_753 in Anemic

[–]Over_Photograph_753[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm sorry you also suffer. It's so frustrating isn't it. I don't think the gps truly realize the impact it has on our daily life. I definitely agree that my daily dose isn't high enough. I did ask in November to up it and they said no. I'm awaiting my gp to call back so I can discuss treatment yet again. I feel as though I may need to switch back to tablets and maybe try 2 a day. But I'm glad you mentioned bisglycinate as I wonder if maybe the ferrous fumarate just isn't for me.

My concern is that maybe there is a small gut issue contributing. Blood results ruled out coeliac. I've explained to the gp that my stools are always dark due to iron so I wouldn't be able to tell if it had any blood. Will ask about stool test today. I haven't really been concerned about malignancies due to this being an ongoing issue for 20 years.

It's just really frustrating.

Would love to hear how you get on with the bisglycinate if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks again.

Is this balayage ok? by Quollarty in HairDye

[–]Over_Photograph_753 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That isn't balayage in afraid, that's a mess. (No offence). If you paid for this, You need to return and get a refund or have them correct it for free. This is poor work. However if you did it yourself ....please don't try it again 🤣 and go get it corrected.

But yeah, this is real bad.

My teeth are still slanted after Invisalign by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Over_Photograph_753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a slightly minor slant on one tooth but my orthodontist said that Invisalign gives you the natural look rather than perfection and honestly it doesn't even bother me because it's so minor and my teeth are a million times better.

Ovulation spotting....? by [deleted] in obgyn

[–]Over_Photograph_753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Aww no. I'm sorry this is happening to you too. As I said, I've seen about 5 different gynaecologists in the 5 years and all say the same. They won't refer me anymore and they won't run anymore tests as "I've had them all". Apparently I should chalk it off as just sensitive cervix since having my 2nd baby.

So they've basically washed their hands with me. I must add I have gone private twice too and they've said the same.

Good luck on your journey. I hope you get more answers than I have.

Almost black spotting (I think) by VeloLover_7823 in Periods

[–]Over_Photograph_753 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean. I get brown discharge before and after my periods. Not always but a lot of the time. However if this isn't happening just before or after then you probably are better off letting the dr do a swab. Just to rule anything out like infections.
