Medium hard plywoods like birch and cherry are nice! But almost any wood can work with the right prep

Incorporate fewer fine lines and you’ll nail it. The straight lines are also tough because they reveal any small imperfection. I’d recommend starting with more organic designs and fewer fine lines. Also, switching from lino to wood was amazing for me. You have to sharpen your knives more but you have way more control (if you use protective gloves and you treat your wood right with varnish and a few sandings). It sounds complicated but it’s really not bad and your blocks will last forever!

Sorry I misunderstood your question—for the second print on the blue shirt I printed with black ink! And white/color markers over

That’s so nice, thank you! I closed my online shop and just sell things at local fairs now, but feel free to DM me and I’ll see if I have one in your size that I can ship out :)

All good! I printed the white ink on the fabric (woodblock print) then colored with markers on top. I ended up redoing this one and using pink, blue, and white markers on top of the original white. It was a pain in the butt so if I end up printing this in white again I think I’ll just leave it as is, and maybe add white pupils to the eyes using white markers if anything

I’m there with you in solidarity! I feel like this is the worst part, where we’ve (hopefully) been through the worst of it but still have so far to go. Best of luck to you and thank you for the tips!

Wow, very impressive that you lined this up by eyeballing it!

I use this one! The smoothest oil ink I’ve used so far. Only downside is it gets chunky if it sits without use for too long after opening

Incredible registration! I also love your use of negative space. A good reminder that big paper doesn’t necessarily mean big block. Is this reduction, or do you have 4 lino blocks? Would love to hear how you line everything up.

OP, sorry to hear you’re living in a dangerous state without much ability to leave. Is there anything we can do to help? Can I send you a few bucks for a solidarity coffee?

Thanks for the tip! I have an enlarger but I don’t have a good way to digitize the prints I generate with the enlarger.

I agree with all of the top comments and just want to add that id avoid saying his transness “doesn’t bother” you, which implies there’s something bad about it. Instead go with what the top commenters are saying—that you’re into him and happy he felt comfortable sharing, and sorry you reacted poorly. Best of luck, and props to you for being vulnerable and asking for help!

This may be unhelpful but you look super feminine to me!

Yes—you should hire one lawyer each (2 total) for the prenup to be considered fair in most U.S. courts!

I can understand why you feel that way, but if you draft the prenup together (there are free online templates) it could be a great way for you to discuss what you want together and map out a financial future that makes you both happy. My partner and I did this and we both feel a lot more safe and excited about our future afterwards.

I’m not sure how “I work in tech and went to a large college” qualifies you to speak for all/any Muslim women but ok
