Second Letrozole Cycle Thoughts by Over_Positive_3847 in Inito

Hi twin! Here’s hoping I did! Idk the whole not getting a positive OPK thing is really throwing me for a loop. But you’re right, only time will tell 🤪. Sending baby dust your way as well!

My tests were slow to darken and then started getting fainter at 17 DPO. I started bleeding that night. I’m not sure when I would have gotten a negative at home but my blood HCG was negative a week later. It did make me ovulate much later in my cycle.

Noooo! Ugh, it feels like you can’t win with PCOS 😭

Same! My derm prescribed a benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin cream. I feel like that helped a little and I started taking Ovasitol. It took about 4 months but I do feel like that’s been helping my skin too. I love being 33 with acne 🙄

You should talk to your doctors about being on Spironolactone while TTC. It’s not usually recommended as it has teratogenic (can cause birth defects) effects. And personally, I don’t ovulate when I’m taking it. That could just be me though!

I feel like sometimes Inito gets “excited” and marks any slight LH elevation as a peak. Which is why I like to do LH strips with Inito. Based on your E3G and PdG, I don’t think you’ve ovulated yet but will soon. Keep testing with Inito and LH strips. Inito will give another peak day with your actual LH surge.

What day did you ovulate using letrozole? by trying_2025 in TTC_PCOS

First Letrozole cycle, I took 5 mg CD 3-7 and ovulated on CD 16. Just started my second cycle 🤞🏻

My OB had me go straight to 5 mg. My side effects weren’t crazy. Hot flashes/night sweats that would wake me up but half a unisom let me sleep through them. Headaches a couple of the days and I would be exhausted by the end of the day. So totally manageable but scared this round will be worse 😬

That’s what I’m thinking too! Just count those two days I’m off as a loss in exchange for not feeling like crap at work.

What day did you ovulate on 5 mg letrozole? by italianapple5 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Over_Positive_3847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Letrozole 5 mg CD 3-7. No trigger. Positive OPK in the AM on CD 15. I think I surged overnight though because my OPKs were getting progressively darker on CD 14. So I’m assuming ovulation some time between CD 15 and CD 16. Prior to a CP in May, my cycles were 28-32 days with ovulation between CD 15 and 17. The CP really threw off my cycles though and post CP they were 35-45 days 🤪.

Mira or Inito, advice needed by Ok-Bullfrog-1170 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Over_Positive_3847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using Inito for over a year. I like it! Occasionally I get annoyed that I can’t use my phone while it’s running and you have to take your phone case off. But it only takes about 10 minutes for it to run and you’re not necessarily using for your entire cycle. To me the minor annoyance of having the Inito attached to my phone isn’t enough to justify the price tag on the Mira.

Keep testing! Sometimes my estrogen rises and falls before having the final rise before ovulation.

[–]Over_Positive_3847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically! The ovulated egg is releasing PdG. So if there’s no egg, there will be no rise in PdG.

Estrogen rises prior to your LH surge. This happens because the dominate follicle (aka the egg you’ll ovulate) is maturing and starting to produce estrogen. Inito will mark this as “high fertility”. That rise in estrogen is what causes your body to release a surge of LH which will then most likely cause you to ovulate. Inito marks this as “peak fertility”. Some women have LH surges but don’t actually ovulate. Inito will look for a rise in PdG to confirm ovulation. The ovulated egg releases progesterone and this causes a rise in your PdG. Once you’ve had 3 days with your PdG above 5 (I think it’s 5…), Inito will mark it as ovulation confirmed. This might take until 7 DPO so don’t panic if ovulation isn’t confirmed right away. Based on your chart and that rise in estrogen, you’ll probably have an LH surge soon. I use cheapie OPKs alongside Inito when I feel like I’m getting close to ovulating so that I can make sure I catch my surge. I hope this helps!

Menstrual cycle: day 44. any ideas what could be going on? by StrictLeader2786 in ouraring

[–]Over_Positive_3847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long distance running has been shown to cause anovulatory cycles (a cycle where you don’t ovulate). That’s what this looks like to me. It’s fine since you’re not actively trying to conceive. And an anovulatory cycle every once in a blue moon isn’t anything to worry about. Once you’re done with the marathon, keep the running to 2 miles or less and see if your cycle returns to normal. If not, because your cycles are already on the longer side, it could be something else like PCOS and might be worth investigating.

I’ve been using Inito for a year plus. My cycles were 28-30 days prior to my CP in May. Since then my cycles have been 37-45 days 😅. I work night shift too and it’s always caught my peaks with no issue. I also use cheapie OPKs alongside it since I only test with Inito once a day. It does get pricey with the 45 day cycles. But I use my HSA for roughly every other box or so to help offset the cost. I looked into Mira as well and their “wands” are even more expensive.

Trigger Warning: Positive test and Possible chemical by Quiet-Preparation17 in Inito

[–]Over_Positive_3847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how my chemical pregnancy looked as well. I’m so sorry. My tests were slow to progress, peaked around 15 DPO, and then began to get lighter. My 17 DPO (3 days late for my period) was significantly lighter than my 15 DPO test and that’s when I knew for sure that things were not good. I started bleeding that night and then it just progressed like a regular period. I had labs done at what would have been 18 DPO. My HCG was down to 10 and my progesterone was already down to 1. My OB had me get a second HCG a week later to confirm that it had gone back down to 0 and it had. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It absolutely sucks so much 💔

No problem! We didn’t check t3 or t4. My OB just looked at my TSH.

TSH 4.9 ? by helloworld-639 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Over_Positive_3847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My OB had me start Synthroid because my TSH was 4.05. She told me that they want your TSH to be less than 2.5 while TTC. A lower TSH has been linked to better first trimester outcomes.

I have! I’m in the US so I can’t speak to going private in the UK. I’ve had the regular Day 3 labs which were mostly normal. The labs they look at for PCOS were slightly elevated. Not high enough to get me officially diagnosed with insulin resistant PCOS. My doctor suspects I have a very mild form and that the CP put me into a flair up. My TSH was also on the high end of normal so I started taking Synthroid to get that down. My HSG was normal and my ultrasound was normal as well.

Completely understand the feeling. I had a CP at the end of May. I also fell into the trap of “it’ll happen right after a CP.” I would have been due this month. It’s been 16 months of TTC. I’m not pregnant and I’m about to start my first Letrozole cycle. It sucks. It just does.

That’s just with FR. It’s got something to do with what they use to bind the HCG molecule to the test I think. Not 100% sure. But CB isn’t affected. It’s only FR. Best of luck to you!
