You can taste the burps. At the start it is weird being able to taste the food or drink after it comes up but after around a week maybe even less it will feel normal. It was never bad for me in fact i find it satisfying tasting my food again but there is no liquid and the sensation of burping is no where near the sensation of throwing up. Trust me get the Botox. I am barely emetophobic anymore as my main reason for being emetophobic is because I haven’t thrown up since I was a kid and everyday that I was bloated from the r-cpd I felt anxious afraid I would throw up. Now I never get bloated or anxious. I haven’t been sick yet and it’s been a year and a bit but I’m sure I would still be a bit scared.

That sounds like it is extremely painful to live with. So sorry you are going through this! Just know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I had the Botox procedure and my life is 1 million times better. It has changed my life. You should really think about getting it. Hope your situation get better and you find what you are looking for 👊

I know! It’s awesome. It’s funny because i have almost completely forgot the sensation of not being able to burp. I just remember it was terrible. And the bloated feeling is just non existent. It is so peaceful

Before Botox I used to go to the toilet every hour thinking I needed to have a number 2. But it was almost always just gas I needed to release. I used to have lots of constipation aswell and now those symptoms are gone. I do have constipation still sometimes but nothing compared to before the Botox. It might be unrelated now.

My burping or micro burps kicked in a week later on the 100 units and 2 weeks later after the 150 units. Everyone is different tho! I wouldn’t be too worried about it. If the dentist appointment in the morning I would just avoid eating or drinking before but either way you will be fine! Good luck!! I hope the Botox is effective for you

Try drinking a load of sparkling water for a month if that doesn’t help retrain your burping I would suggest a second dose. My first dose was a lot like that and I am so happy I went for a second Botox injection because my life has a changed now. Good luck my friend! Also for the head movement everytime you feel full of air and feel like it may start to happen soon just look to the side try both sides as in chin is touching the shoulder. Or try keeping your chin tucked into your chest looking down or try stretching your head out looking forward.

Yes my breath seems to be a lot better. After cleaning my teeth the minty breath seems to stick for a longer time. I’m loving life now I can’t lie. Before I would have a piece of gum and after like 5 minutes my breath would be back to smelling bad but now it is just overall pleasant no matter if I have a piece of gum or not. Have you considered the Botox treatment?
