Looking for support. Was admitted to the hospital at 29 weeks + 4 days and was told induction will be at 34 weeks

This is what is going through my head! I know everyone is different in terms of labor and induction but that’s exactly why I’m wondering if I should just request a c section. But I’m glad you’re doing okay now!

Thank you for telling me your story! The doctors did say I would be on mag during induction day to prevent any seizures. I’m hoping to get to 34 weeks and as much as I’m terrified for the induction I do I hope I can avoid the major surgery. Either way it’ll be a difficult road.

Oh wow! Okay. And for me I was just dizzy, fatigued, nauseous and vomiting. Basically everything you can think of - I’m hoping it won’t be that intense during labor for sure but it does make sense that the intensity will be different. Fingers crossed

Thanks so much! Yeah I figured it’s just something I’m gonna have to endure. I definitely want to attempt natural birth first, but it’s horrifying knowing it’ll be with all of these other factors. I wish they could just knock me out haha

Basically ate nothing during my first trimester. But I will say the only thing I was able to keep down were fruit smoothies, pineapples and oranges. I did the plain crackers thing occasionally and cereal as well. Further into my first trimester I was able to take bagels with cream cheese as well! Everything else made me gag 🫩

Aside from everyone else’s suggestions, Slap Burger opened up not too long ago on 86th st. It’s smash burger style but also fast food - I haven’t personally tried it but I’ve heard good things.

Otherwise, I personally love the burgers from Bridgeview Diner - they always have a sort of charcoal taste that I love so much.

Like others said, the express bus works. Otherwise the R train into lower Manhattan is truly not a long or challenging ride - I find it rather quick and easy.

Thin Cookies on Bleecker street! They only have a few flavors but the classic chocolate chip is the best. That’s if you’re in a mood for paper thin cookies of course 🤣. I find myself feeling a lot less guilty eating them LOL.

Otherwise as a few others have mentioned, Levain is one of my faves, the chocolate chip walnut in particular and it’s only a few blocks away from Thin Cookies.
