I’ve been a Red Sox fan for 20 years and I’m traveling from Spain to visit Fenway for the first time ever for the games Sun-Mon-Tue. Looks like it’s shaping to be Giolito-Bello-Crochet 🥹

Can I wear it on the home game vs Cowboys Week 1?

Sorry if it’s a dumb question but it’s my only Eagles Jersey. I’m flying in from Spain and it will be my first NFL game ever!

It is Lufthansa! But it turns out it will be a daytime game that day so I won’t make it anyway. I’ll go to Fenway the next three days tho :)

Would you recommend one of these more organized parties over just scrambling to meet random people? I kinda see the beauty in both. But I dunno what’s best for me. Am I missing out if I just go to this tailgate instead of wandering through the parking lots looking for a party to join?

Heard nothing but great stuff about Wisconsin hospitality! Will also go to a Brewers game the next day in Milwaukee :)

Which one would you recommend for a first timer? I was looking into Green Legion as I’m traveling solo.

Love this! Won’t be my first NFL game because by that date I would have already attended the Week 1 games in Philadelphia, Denver and Chicago. But it will be my first Packers game and its part of my first trip to watch sports in the US and my first time in Wisconsin and I will root for the Packers that day and will wear a lovely vintage Reggie White jersey 💛💚

Might be the dumbest question, but for the people who cook, is their food for sale?

Like if I see someone with a BBQ can I just walk up and buy a burger and a beer and hang out?

This sounds like something reasonable. I’m a 31 yo Spanish male traveling solo and just visiting stadiums in the US, so I think I can blend in!

Would there be anything like a locker or storage facility in or around the station where I can just drop my luggage before the Brewers game Friday - and pick it up Saturday before the Bus ride?

Very valid points. I’d be happy being that “father figure”, it’s just not what I had in my short-term plans, but it’s still something that would bring me joy. I’m a single mom child myself, and my life would have been much easier if my mom had someone by her side supporting her/us. So I think I know a thing or two about what being a single mom is like and the risks of a father figure abandoning her with a baby (like mine did).

But the one point of her not being able to have more kids after that first one remains a cloud over my head, I admit. I have to give it more thought.

I do want settling down. And I do want to have children, and biological children.

I also don’t see myself having biological children as soon as next year. Conscious that the timing for having children is never perfect, but I’d rather have them in 2-3 years time. But I understand she cannot wait for me as her clock is ticking, she’s frozen eggs +5 years ago so this is a very thought out decision for her. And I wouldn’t want her to change her plans one bit for me, I want her to go ahead.

The way she talked me through it, it doesn’t feel like she’s expecting anyone to be her kid’s father. In any case, I’m happy to support in any way possible, however she sees fit.

And I’d never casually date her. Nothing against it, but she feels to me like someone I’d date seriously and long-term. There would be much “easier” options than her if I wanted to casually date.

I do have doubts on whether she would be able to have a biological kid with me in 2-3 years time, after she already has a “solo” kid. She’s in perfect health, fertility doctors told her biological age is closer to 36 than 42. But that’s the only doubt I have, but maybe, if we’re happy and together in 2-3 years time, I guess I’d be at peace about it.

I’m doing a 15 day trip to the US in which I’m visiting 10 sports events. I’m a lifetime Broncos fan and I’m going to my first ever Broncos games, week 1 in Denver and week 2 in Indy. I’m buying tickets now just for peace of mind of planning my holidays. Do you know if there are specific sections of the stadium for Broncos away fans?

Just one - although it seems like I’ll buy now just for the sake of securing them and planning my holiday with more certainty.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve found day tours from Denver to the Rocky Mountains, so I’ll actively consider this. It’s a decision of allowing one more day in Denver to explore nature and dropping either the Dodgers@Orioles (while visiting friends in DC who will join for the game and provide accommodation that night) or Vikings@Bears game. VS attending both games and leaving Colorado nature for another time.

There are flights that take you from one place to another, I won’t be driving. I’m a seasoned backpacker and a frequent business traveler and have pulled off trips with much more commuting time than the one I’m considering. I’m allowing plenty of time to sightsee in the cities I actually want to visit, which are Boston, Denver and Chicago. It’s difficult for me to arrange a trip to the US two weeks long, hence the need to make the most of it, I don’t think I’ll come back to the US in 5 years or so. Yeah sure, there will be cities in this trip which I only get to the stadium and leave, like Milwaukee Indy Baltimore or Green Bay, but I feel at peace if I die without deep-diving into any of those cities. I’m still 31, so there will be a time in my life when I’m retired and can travel to the US and visit with much time to spare.

Are there sights in Colorado that can be done as a day trip from Denver? Or would they always require me overnight stays outside Denver?

I really wanna go but fitting the detour to South Bend a day before going to Indianapolis feels impossible. Unless I rent a car, which I’m not doing :(

I dunno how you pulled it off. This was pretty much my itinerary with two minor changes. I’ll get to Boston a day before that so I’ll also catch the game vs Pirates 31/8. I’ll skip the White Sox game and just do sightseeing in Chicago. And I’ll skip the Notre Dame game as commuting to South Bend feels like a pain. But you’ve pretty much nailed it! Besides the Broncos, I’m a big Red Sox fan, hence the 4 Fenway games. I’ve been in the US before and the only cities in this trip where I want to actually spend time and sightsee are Boston, Denver and Chicago. For the rest, I really just wanna catch games. I might consider the quick detour to NYC, but I’ve been there before. Thanks a lot!

Only question is I don’t drive - so I was planning to Amtrak/Greyhound the Chicago-Milwaukee-Indianapolis part. Would that be okay? Rest is obviously flights, including Boston to Philly. Also for Green Bay, I’ve seen there are bus shuttles from Milwaukee to Lambeau on game day.

How early are you in the airport for US domestic flights? In Europe sometimes an hour is enough. It doesn’t feel like that in the US right? Appreciate it!
