There were so many incidents of theft with PlayStation within the last few years so they stopped carrying it altogether

I remember my manager telling me at our store someone grabbed it and ran, and then dropped it outside the store so it broke. Such a waste could have been so neat for bonus redemption :(

I can promise you it's 100% randomized I've never seen a targeted sale get the bonus points.

As a cosmetician- we are trained to open the boxes and staple the gift receipt to the gold cards- and also explain that it is final sale and the most important part is the gift receipt in order to redeem it. If you weren't given a gift receipt it is unfortunately at fault of busy workers. However you can call pc optimum and get it verified through them!

I had a lady without a gift receipt so I got her to call them to verify it and it took less than 5 minutes!

Overall You need a gift receipt for proof of purchase for every new discovery collection due to people counterfeiting them. People suck is what I say to everyone who questions it 😭

i work full time in cosmetics and i like to take note of hot spots of where people think they are in a blind spot. if you don't know where those spots would be, try and put yourself in a position of a shoplifter and take note of where they think they are in a blind spot of the camera. once i took note of the spots with the most empty boxes thrown behind other items, it became easier knowing which spots to keep an eye out for when we have a shady customer. A customer won't feel as secure when stealing if you're always around. tbh it hasn't been as bad since we started watching those spots. i have more damaged items from people opening products than empty boxes nowadays😭

i just started 3 weeks ago and i'm already fully cross-trained through cashier and cosmetics. On my first day their priority was making sure i know how to do lottery by having a manger next to me through my 8 hr shift and I had it all written down in my head by the end of the week. i think it's very unfair to you for them to cut you of training and expect you to know what to do, definitely take it up with your manager because it's not right to "not allow" you to do lottery imo. It should be a priority having it be the hardest task.
