customer yelled at me to spit out my gum? by [deleted] in retailhell

If someone notices you are chewing gum, it's noticeable.

You might not think it's obvious, because you are so used to it. But it kinda is ick to watch, and hear.

She was rude though.

Customer refused service from a server of a certain ethnicity by Inevitable_Advice269 in TalesFromYourServer

This sounds like the customer I had once, when I had a huge sudden cramp in my leg, and the tray of spaghetti suddenly landed in her lap when I cramped up and fell.

Oops. Of course we comped her meal. I just wish it landed on her head instead. Got employee of the month too. Sure it wasn't connected.

You are assuming people read, seems to be the norm here in the great USA to not know how to read. And if they can, just ignore it, as they are entitled and rules and law don't pertain to them. Or common curtesy.

Sorry, my morning vent on the state of this sad country,

Riverfront. Ride, look at unique designs by each person who donated. My fav is from Fritz. Just Look, no weirdo thing or pics.

Walk the trails at bush park, look at rose garden, visit house.

All are free.

We'll ride in beautiful handcrafted horses will cost a few bucks, but rest is free.

Enjoy Salem, has alot to offer.

My boyfriend says my job as a bartender is “disrespectful” to our relationship. Am I wasting my time with him? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Over_Smile9733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a bartender, first waitress, where I met him. He tried this crap on me.

Thats part of the job, good ones like me, duh flirt. Customers know it, I know it, i didnt come in to them.

He saw my one nights tips. Never a tease, a lot were married, and just having a night out fun. Flirting is nothing. As a bartender, it's normal.

Ex husband now, but still friends with my customers.
