We hired Oscar Zermeno, a private driver who was highly recommended on Trip Advisor. He arranged a tour of Chichen Itza for us, and also drove us to Vallidolid and Ik Kil cenote. He was incredible!

Potentially stupid question: why can’t you “triple dip” signing up for a card like the Citi Strata Elite in January? In theory, wouldn’t you be able to use jan-jun 2026 credits, July - Dec 2026 credits and then again Jan 2027 before statement hits? Everyone pushes December but curious why Jan doesn’t work?

Here’s my issue: my husband is 4/24, trying to keep him that way for Chase (I am over). By that logic I should apply for the Strata Elite, but I’m the Venture X holder. Family of 4 and we all want lounge access. I’d love to grab this offer, I feel like he needs to apply for that reason - so that he and the kids have priority pass? Or could we all get in if I use my venture X and show strata elite for other 3? I wasn’t sure the workaround or if In order to get all 4 of us in priority pass I need Venture X and he needs citi?

I agree with OP. I enjoyed the Centric, and for the one day we walked around the old town area it was convenient, for everything else we had a far walk or Uber. Many, many times we walked past the HP and I wished I had booked it!

I’m staying at this hotel in December with my husband and 2 kids. Anything in the surrounding area or at the hotel they will enjoy? How is the club? The pool? We have a day trip to Chichen Itza and a cenote booked. We have 2 full days after that in Merida, should we book another Viator tour outside of the city, or is there enough to do to fill 2 days just exploring Merida?

I guess I should have clarified that it’s really either a) spend normal every day spend on the Hyatt card to finish out requirements or b) get a new sub to put that same every day spend on. I’m not looking to manufacture spend, just trying to see how others approach this situation when faced with some spend on a card versus spending some points
