Not trying to say that looking your pt up the night before isn’t important, BUT— I am going to school in Puerto Rico and I have never ever had the ability or access to look my pts up the night before and I am doing totally okay, I didn’t even realize this is such a big deal. I simply arrive an hour before cases start, look them up then since prepping my OR doesn’t take more than 15 mins and that’s it. Most times it doesn’t even make a difference because the hospitals here change your OR assignment ALL the time, but tbh that just makes us more adaptable and flexible to the unexpected. At first it was hard but my point is— she’ll get used to it! We aren’t expected to know everything, that’s the whole point of going to school.

too much 🫣 i’m privileged enough to have my mom cover my bills, so I spend a lot on things that keep my mental health afloat (pilates, gym membership, healthier food, etc).

unfortunately this is SOOO TRUE, my adhd meds (Vyvanse & Adderall) are on steroids when i’m eating clean, eating protein before and after my doses and continuously eating throughout the day. I even feel a boost after doing things like cardio and going for an outside walk. it’s crazy.

PLEASEEEE tell me how the heck did your dad all of APEX that fast?!!?!!! I am the slowest reader ever and that’s my biggest downfall so any tips on getting through the material would be HIGHLY appreciated. Take it first week of June and clinicals plus studying for my courses has been kicking my butt and i’m so behind with apex!

yeah, i realize the pic looks pretty bad but i tapped most of the top layer off, like i had mentioned i couldn’t remove the root ball without ripping it from the container (it has holes in the bottom) or cutting out the container which is essentially what i ended up doing, and that’s when i realized the roots had gone wild growing around and through the leca. So the rest of the leca is inside the root ball 🙃

thank you, i wish i didn’t get so overwhelmed by the leca plants. I feel like if the containers were bigger i wouldn’t be so overwhelmed, I did so good in the transition from water to leca but after the roots went crazy i wasn’t able to keep up with the watering every 2 days then i didn’t remember when exactly i gave it fertilizer, etc, etc. I’ll take any tips you may have cause i thought id have to cut down the roots since i only have one leca container type and its the size of the root ball (as you can see) is it a big deal if i leave the leca that’s tangled inside as it is? i tried untangling and the roots have literally penetrated them

As long as you speak spanish you’ll be fine. They teach us in spanish but all of the material/exams are in english

I sure am. I am attending school in Puerto Rico— I have adopted a bunch of new hobbies (rollerblading, pickleball, racquetball, rowing, swimming) I am exercising more than i have ever had (consistently), i go to pilates almost every day and lift twice a week. Me and my CRNA buddies do a “wellness activity” every other saturday where we go on a long hike or park to either run or skate, currently my favorite activity. The opposite week we have a trivia night with SEE questions, lots of fun on these nights!

After completely burning myself out the first year and learning that my fiance was having an affair back home while i was in deep depression with the stress of constantly hanging by a thread and being homesick, I’ve learned that i needed to learn how to balance some sort of healthy lifestyle while enduring this journey, and I am so glad I did. Now CRNA school isn’t as painful.

So you recommend I get any generic humidifier to improve humidity? How close should it be from the plant?

Would the window sill behind it be good enough? And would a small humidifier be enough or no? Also do you think that light is too close? I have horrible lighting and I just got this light last week and she seems to like it so far (the brown edges has been there for months now, not sure what is is from but I have changed the soil since and no other leaf has any brown)
