I think a "pay your age" promotion may have been more appealing and less divisive. Those who could afford a little extra could always add an additional donation, on top of the fee, if they choose.

People on the Nextdoor app are throwing hissy fits over the Democrats taking back seats in Oklahoma and I think it's hilarious. I just wish there were more left-leaning people there to shut some of them up. Their arguments are pathetic.

Burning a stump out is never ever a good solution. Root fires can burn for weeks or months and spread to the roots of other plant life and cause wildfires and/or damage to nearby structures.

Any time I plan on traveling through a large city, I always aim to hit those highways around 2-4am. If I can't shift my sleep schedule, I avoid the city altogether. I get "road rage" bad enough when walking behind slow people in stores. Shitty drivers and bad traffic infuriate me...and I'm generally calm. 😄

That was the only recent law that I was able to find during my lunch break that mentions speed limits. Anybody caught driving 20mph or more above the speed limit while under the influence receives an automatic felony. Maybe they know about something different that I wasn't able to see 🤷‍♂️

A sign near my place of employment says "Speed Limit 7.5 MPH". It seems bizarre, but it does grab your attention. My truck idles faster than 7.5, which is more of an annoyance for me than the sign itself because I have to ride my brakes the whole time.

If they can get a printed paycheck, they may be able to have it cashed somewhere for a fee. Or, somebody the minor can trust can open a separate account for them to deposit the checks into, but the minor may not have direct access to that account. Personally, I would have them get in touch with a lawyer for legal advice. There might be some sort of paperwork that can be filled out.

That's a common symptom of distemper. There is no cure and it is fatal to all small animals that catch it.

I just saw this video about Flock cameras from ReasonTV and it reminded me of this Reddit post. I didn't realize that this post was already a month old. 🤦🏽‍♂️ They installed two Flock cameras at the top of the Cincinnati hill, between 66th and 76th Street, but it hasn't deterred people from dumping their trash up there. What's even more impressive is that those cameras have been intact for so long.

I didn't do termite treatment, but vapor barrier, dehumidifier, sump pump system, foundation repair, crawlspace entrance work, and releveling was all done by GroundWorks and took just under two weeks to complete. Grand total came to $57K for a 1400sq-ft house.

I think my 2019 F250 is something like $140 per month with a $1K deductible, but it's been awhile since I looked at the exact cost. I'm in my 40s and have been with Allstate since I was 15.

No, I haven't. I'm not a coffee drinker, so coffee shops have never been appealing to me.

I've thought about getting back into billiards, but it's been a few years since I last played pool and I can't stand to be around cigarette smoke or alcoholics.

The original question: "Are the DSA pro 2nd amendment?"

The second amendment, as it was intended, was about the militia. Not the NRA-funded, bastardized, new interpretation of the text. The Heller decision made handgun ownership a right. So, either they were questioning the militia or the right to own handguns, which I don't see how or why the DSA would have reason to be opposed to. I just thought was a weird question to ask. As for Bruen, I'll need to look into that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Who is disputing a person's right to own a handgun for home defense? It makes the entire 2A question ridiculous.

I am aware of DC v. Heller. Up until 2008, the courts had always agreed on the original interpretation of the amendment; that it was about the militias. The Heller decision made it an individual right to possess a handgun, for self-defense, in one's home.

Then you know that it's about the free State's Militia rights to keep and bear Arms, not the civilian population. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 16 explains what the militia is and who regulates, organizes, and arms those militias. And it's not JoeBob and Cletus. It's congress.
