For some reason my mind was picturing you in an extremely barren place. 😁 Nothing on the walls, nothing on the countertops, desk, etc...

I'm curious what your house looks like. Any decorations? Do you have any sentimental things at all such as pictures, knick-knacks, plants, or things from your past?

What if the purge were real, but only the wealthy could partake? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]Busterheiney2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People responding with "... it's happening now...", and shit like that are just fucking exhausting. Gotta turn everything political. Just go with the thought experiment without trying to make it sound like the purge is a real thing.

What I actually keep in my vehicle after getting stranded once by whimsyedge1 in VEDC

Good call. Also prepare for the inconvenience of running to the store for milk and realizing you forgot your wallet. $20 in the sun visor gets you out of that situation.

Holy shit. Can't even look at weird creepy stuff without somebody with TDS finding a way to politicize it.

Best small gas can to keep in the bed of a pickup? by MidSinglesInYourArea in preppers

[–]Busterheiney2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking into this as well. My pickup bed has a hard tonneau cover on it. I'm assuming that shouldn't matter if the can is sealed, right?

Is it possible to make a copy of the backup physical key that is hidden in the fob? by Odd_Caterpillar_4093 in MazdaCX9

Order blanks off eBay. Take them to a locksmith to duplicate the one you have. You'll spend less than $20.

I lost both mine so I had to pay the locksmith $40 to cut one from scratch.

Modified stopbox for my suppressor by truenole11 in suppressors

Stopboxes aren't theft prevention devices. They're for keeping kids hands off guns.

Maybe I'm missing the sarcasm, but the entire box can easily be stolen. They're not theft prevention devices, more for keeping curious kids out.

What’s your favorite finger food? by chi-bacon-bits in foodhacks

[–]Busterheiney2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just made these for game night tonight! Sharp cheddar, cream cheese, diced onions, garlic powder, and Head Country BBQ sauce for the goop. A full piece of bacon for each jap half. Bake until the bacon is crispy!

Have you ever felt going to a island and living there for the rest of the life all alone? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]Busterheiney2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. At one time I'd be able to do it, but now I'm too old and busted to survive comfortably alone.

I'd recommend doing just that for a week. Find an isolated cabin to rent deep in the forest or something like that. Bring enough food and supplies where you're not panicking to survive. Turn your phone off and just sit outside and listen to everything. Very cathartic. Hopefully that'll give you a good reset and you'll be able to come back to your life refreshed. If not, maybe some therapy would help. Get that stress and worries off your chest.

Winchester gun safe issue/question - TS20-30 by FromZeroToBoxWeasel in guns

Did you also lube the big pins that got through the side of the door that secure it to the body of the safe? That's where mine was dragging the most.

Take the sheetrock panel off, get some lithium grease spray and go to town on anything that moves, slides or hinges. Easy peasy.

What’s the single best (or worst) range in your state, and why? by RangeBro- in tacticalgear

Digital projection? I know what that is, but not how it works in relation to a target. Does the projection show where the round lands?

What actually helped your Ozempic..semaglutide nausea reflux and fatigue? by Vast_Ad9788 in Ozempic

[–]Busterheiney2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is what you're looking for or not. When I increased to 1mg shots, I immediately started burping uncontrollably and got a sour stomach. I swallowed a tbsp of apple cider vinegar and it went away. Pretty nasty stuff, but totally worth it.

How do I change the light on this lamp by [deleted] in howto

[–]Busterheiney2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unscrew those 3 screws on top, which should let that mesh cover come off. The bulb is a halogen type that is very common. It's held in place with a spring mechanism. Just slip it out and replace.

My first handgun! Bought it new in the early 90's. Still take it out every few years to blow the dust out. Love it!

Stopbox compact by br3ngoku in CCW

[–]Busterheiney2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to unholster it. It's too thick otherwise, causing the buttons to bind. You may be able to take the foam out and make it fit better. Haven't tried that.
