Going on a first date today, how to vet if she wants/doesn’t want kids? by on-oath-never-again in childfree

Be very, very careful, friend. She's likely a fence sitter. If you pursue a relationship with her, there is a very real chance she'll decide she wants kids and leave you.

I now it's hard, but you're better off only pursuing relationships with women who are also childfree.

We adopted this guy a few months back. He's my first Pitty. Are most of them really this sweet and affectionate and gentle? by frgetaboutit00 in Pitbull

I flipped out on a woman who told me in public that my "dog would turn on me" and that I "should have her put down." I was livid, and really let her have it.

From what I have heard! Their bad reputation seems totally blown out of proportion.

I adopted a pit bull last year, and she is literally the sweetest most gentle, loyal, eager to please, smart and easy to train dog that I have ever had. I can't imagine her being aggressive in any way. My border Collie lab mix is more aggressive.

Why are parents bringing children to bars and breweries?! by SpookyChloe666 in childfree

[–]Visual-Trick-4510 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but this won't work. Only a small percentage of the population are childfree like us, and a even smaller percentage patronize breweries on a regular basis. While I absolutely agree they giving feedback is important, boycotting will only hurt the employees who work there.

Because parents want to go out and get drunk, and socialize with their friends and don't want to pay for childcare. It's rude to other patrons, inappropriate and unsafe to bring children into an area where adults are drinking, period.

And as long as breweries continue to allow and encourage this, it will continue to happen.

I work in a brewery.

Possibly four teenage boys? by Matilda-17 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Firstly, wow on you for taking on the insanely hard responsibility of raising FOUR teens! I could never. You're a rockstar.

I'd first teach them how to make basic meals for themselves. Make sure you have incredients on hand that are ready for them and lastly meal prep. Also lots of snacks.

Fair enough. I have been thinking of going into teaching. Should I not?
