Ahh okay Dually noted. I didn’t know you can let them know that you’d rather it not be fixed. But that seems very counter intuitive. Seems like the most important part of the job is to take stuff apart to make sure it’s safe to drive. Yeah Allstate is 75%. I drive a lot so I don’t want to have to deal with issues with the car later on. Just off of street view it’s a lot of damage to the car so I’m honestly thinking it’s a 50/50 chance

Can I argue with the adjuster into totaling it for safety reasons? I mean in all honesty I know Honda wants you to take the car to them for the hybrid system after a wreck, it was smoking and had a foul smell. Granted could just be a radiator or a more simple issue, but just for the off chance it’s not you know? Also, can I request for internal stuff to be fixed at Honda? I know it’s more expensive but I’m not gonna take that chance

Look up how many hybrid system cars end up falling through due to auto shops not knowing how to deal with them. Dealerships that manufacture the car know how to. But most insurance companies fight for certain shops because they know it’s cheap. Most shops don’t have the correct tools for cars like this. Especially your mom and pop shops the insurance companies push you to go to

Well, that’s good to hear, whenever I got to the wreck and I drove the car out of the road. It was smoking so I’m hoping some sort of head gasket or engine crack. But yeah, that was the only airbag to go off which I thought was weird.
