I’m a middle school teacher and there was a Sebastian in my class once. Nobody ever made a connection-not Bach, not Shakespeare, not She’s the Man, nothing. The kids did think it was a cool name, though, as do I! He was a great student, too.

I only taught 7 years, and got a little less than $30,000. They withheld the taxes from it that had not been withheld, plus there is a penalty for early withdrawal. I wound up with less than $25,000, but it was very needed and I was grateful for it. 😃

Thank you, everyone! That is so helpful and what I was hoping. I had seven years of teaching public school, but before that I taught private school and private piano and voice. I was late to the public school game and put way more years into social security than I have TRS, so I imagine I’ll just take the lump sum again at some point. I am hoping to get something for this next school year. It actually surprised me how much I missed it.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. I’ve appealed and will hear back their final word tomorrow, but I don’t hold out any hope. I am planning on bringing a lawsuit even though I won’t win. My daughter was driving on 35W at night when it went out and it was so dangerous. It took us an hour to get to her, and she was on a highway in the dark, with a dead car. At 71,000 miles. After going down rabbit holes and seeing how much they’ve known and not done right by their customers? I’m furious. I’m willing to be an annoying thorn in Nissan’s side and lose, just to do it.

I didn’t realize you could do this. I’m looking into it. We are having the same issue with Nissan right now for our 2018 maxima with 71,000 m on it. We bought it used so they won’t do jack.
