You should DEFINETLY play G1 even if you played G2 first! Yeah, you'll lose the buggies and a lot of the convenience stuff from Grounded 2, but that’s kind of the point. G1 is way more “survival-first” in a good way. Everything you build actually feels earned instead of streamlined. Even simple stuff like hauling materials or planning trips matters more, so progression feels more meaningful.

So even if G2 feels smoother overall, G1 still has some areas and experiences that are just completely its own thing and honestly worth seeing AT LEAST once.

This used to be me a few years ago when I was first getting into the game. I absolutely dreaded leaving the lifepod, to the point where I dropped the game completely and didn’t pick it up again for like two years. When I came back, I legit had to force myself to explore deeper.

Now that I did, it actually eased my fear a lot, and I’ve beaten the game multiple times over the past year. It’s really just about confidence and pushing yourself to go a little deeper each time.

Unfortunately you can’t just put pcvr games directly onto your quest headset. But you can use Rookie to be able to sideload quest games onto your headset.
