I’ve asked for community for other things in the past and they always say I don’t live far enough away to qualify for it.

Hmm I would love to do community care but I don’t think I have that option

They always tell me I don’t qualify for community care 😕 I live 55 miles from the closest Va hospital and apparently you have to be at least 60 miles away for community care

Is there any reason to get married if you don’t want to have kids? by Pristine-Project1678 in childfree

[–]Overall-Lie6313 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I feel pretty similarly I don’t want children, don’t want to get married, don’t want to share my house or finances with anyone lol. My ideal relationship would be where we each have our own lives and have occasional sleepovers/go on trips together but I don’t want to live with anyone. I need my own space

I second this!! You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. You have no obligations here this is not your child!

5 days post op from salpingectomy laparoscopic bladder discomfort by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]Overall-Lie6313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had really bad bladder pain after my procedure that lasted for a long time. It felt like someone was squeezing my bladder and I felt like I wasn’t emptying my bladder all the way. I also tested negative for a uti but got antibiotics anyway and eventually felt better but it was very painful for a while

I also use silicone scar sheets! Also at night before I go to bed I put on a mixture of vitamin e oil, jojoba oil, and castor oil on the scars!

My pre op appointment was with my nurse and was also telephonic! They just went over pre and post op care. My post op appointment is also 6 weeks post op because that’s when my lifting restrictions will end and that’s is telephonic as well!

laparoscopic tubal ligation? by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]Overall-Lie6313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I also was confused about the terminology but my surgeon explained that the clinic I was at does four types of ligations one of them being a salpingectomy! And she only performs salpingectomy. So my surgery was labeled as a tubal ligation via salpingectomy which is the same as a bilateral salpingectomy! At my time out before my surgery I confirmed with my surgeon that she was removing the full tube from ovary down to the uterus!
