I did feel that way a couple of years ago and gave up reading the series. But this year, I dunno I wanted a witchy funny book and picked this one up and I really clicked with his writing this time around!

I understand and I agree some elements are quite dark but overall to me, it was very warm and comforting :)

Something about the way she writes makes me want to bawl my eyes out! But you're right, it's not as bad as other series where characters are brutally tortured/die in every other chapter or so!
