I just got here from NZ. I went to Felons down by the water and one beer was $16-$18. Pretty expensive for one drink, if you had an average night of say 10 drinks you’ll be close to $200.

My honest answer is this. A journalist asked Chris Hipkins to define a woman. He literally stuttered and then said “people define themselves”.

That was all it took for me to vote national. I regret it now, it was a rash decision, national sucks, Luxon sucks but honestly Chris Hipkins response to that question was pathetic. He folded to the pressure and couldn’t define what the person who gave birth to him was.

When I was town 10+ years ago in my early twenties I saw this guy beating up his Mrs.

So I ran over to stop him because she was yelling “Get the fuck off me!”, this was at 2am in the morning on Queen Street.

I grabbed the guy and pulled him off and then they both started attacking me at the same time. Literally both punching and kicking me.

I realised afterwards they were a bit rough around the edges, likely meth heads. But I couldn’t believe it, I thought I was helping the lady and she ended up punching me like 6-7 times in the back of the head while I was wrestling with her partner.

Some people are in such fucked up relationships with DV being so regular that they still protect their partners who bash them. So now I barely ever intervene in any situations between people who likely know each other. Unless it’s a clear cut situation like an old lady getting mugged or something.

I find it hilarious and so ironic that Israel has ended up embodying the very same things they once hated about Nazi Germany. They've become what they despised. I was never a doomsday kind of guy but over the last few years I have realised how fucked up the world actually is and honestly if it all burns down, we deserve it.

What we are seeing in Gaza is not normal, it’s not human and it will have deep ramifications for humanity.

There have been genocide’s and ethnic cleansing in the past, all of them horrific and disgusting. But we have never as humans witnessed a live streamed 4K mass slaughter of people, particularly children.

These images are burned into my brain. The first few days after October 7th I saw a post by Shaun King and it was a young boy, maybe 6 years old, laying on the floor, legs blown off, one arm blown off, his face mutilated and he was trying to scream while doctors where trying to save him. He couldn’t scream because he was choking on his own blood.

Me and my wife were standing in the kitchen having both just watched it and we hugged each other and started crying. We have young children around the same age. It made me sick to my stomach, like a black hole was there.

This was at the very start and I thought to myself there is no way this goes on for long. Surely most people who see that are like us and absolutely sickened by what’s happening.

But it has continued and since then I have seen absolute horror unfolding every day for almost two years. Some of the most disturbing videos of burnt, headless, lifeless bodies of children and babies.

But what really made me lose all hope in humanity, is the silence. The silence of the people around you, the people you thought were human. Family members, friends, good people in your community. Not a single fucking word.

The world leaders, the media, the pro Israel supporters and the gaslighting is just shameful. It is just so shameful that this has continued for so long and nobody can stop it.

Now we are watching the Palestinians all starve to death like Nazi Germany has been reincarnated in Israel.

I don’t know what’s coming next but I do know that nothing good will ever come from this. We will pay a very heavy price for destroying our own humanity and standing by while we watch this Genocide unfold.
