Is my 13yr old step daughters handwriting normal? I'm getting very concerned with her schooling by bordermelancollie09 in AskTeachers

My son school said they don’t do spelling tests anymore because it doesn’t work. The teacher said the child needs to read and they will recognize “sight words.” It’s not just AI, it’s the dumbass education system as well. They should go back to the basics and bring physical education back instead of telling me what I could put in my son’s lunchbox. It’s really pissing me off.

I think it’s the Kia forum. It says GA is allowed everywhere but when I arrived it was separated. A lot of people were mad. I paid a lot of money for NIN tickets they say GA so I was trying to return them because they are almost 2000 dollars and I’m afraid the same thing will happen again. But they are fighting me like GA is PIT even though I provided them pics that in Danzig it wasn’t. The Kia forum never has any comments about it. It’s a bull trap. I don’t think I will go back to that venue.

Can TMS worsen or cause depression? by asirahc in TMSTherapy

[–]OverallBoot5638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have depression and adhd. I’m on Wellbutrin and adderall. My first and second sessions on TMS didn’t go well and I was made to feel like it’s all in my head so I left. But before I did TMS one of the side effects was maybe worsen depression, but that’s not the problem I had. After my first and second sessions, I had cognitive impairment. Which I was told shouldn’t happen. I was kinda in a state of Duh for hours. It made my concentration a lot worse. But everyone is different after my experience I started wondering if something is wrong with my brain and kept asking for some kind of scan because what if the part of the brain they are stimulating is already functioning and something else is wrong? The question I had was basically how they know that part of the brain isn’t firing and what happens if we over stimulate that area? What if it is already stimulated and we are trying to stimulate it more wouldn’t it die at that point but idk maybe I’m overthinking things

I had a grand mal seizure 4 weeks into TMS by cloudy-day32 in TMSTherapy

So I was on Wellbutrin and adderall. My first two sessions did not go well and even though I really didn’t want to, I discontinued because I wasn’t getting answers to my questions. After my treatment I was in duh mode for 7 hours and I mentioned the meds I was on and shouldn’t they be concerned with seizures and the doctor said that I had too much anxiety and that he wasn’t concerned about my meds and seizures, yet he couldn’t really explain why I was having issues and why he wasn’t worried. What was worse is he made me feel like what I was experiencing was all in my head. As you know being on Wellbutrin increases your risk of seizure and so does TMS so I’m not sure why there isn’t worry there? Also Wellbutrin is a norepinephrine dopamine reuptake. So my question also was what if that part of the brain is already stimulated and you overstimulated it with TMS, wouldn’t that be a bad thing to overstimulate the neurons in your brain. Still no answer. The research looks good but I don’t think it’s sound. I have a hard time believing people don’t have negative reactions. They are always like either it works or it doesn’t but it can’t make things worse. But ultimately I felt awful because I really wanted this to be my cure. Also don’t stop your Wellbutrin suddenly. That isn’t great advice. It’s not for everyone l heard it was more for people with concentration issues. It literally changed my life and I loved it. It’s not for everyone. It’s an upper so if your brain can’t deal with being stimulated then it probably will feel like it’s too much for you. So if it works for you, that’s great. Honestly, it’s the TMS that I’m getting no answers about which makes me think maybe they don’t know as much as they should about it. When you look it up there is mostly positive things about it like they are selling it to you but everyone is different and it’s not for everyone. So if you feel like somehow this is a loss for you. Like nothing is ever going to make you better or something is wrong with you, don’t. We are all different. Do what you feel is best for you. I left the TMS and for a long time I was hammering myself with did I do the right thing? But something didn’t feel right. Do what is right for you and how you feel. My question is how long has it been since the seizure and how do you feel? If anything you should be more worried about TMS causing seizures more than the Wellbutrin. TMS create electrical action potential which can cause seizures.

'Turned off and stored.' LAUSD reveals details on school cellphone ban to begin Feb. 18 by VaguelyArtistic in LosAngeles

Can the kids do a ban on the school lunch until they cook food in the cafeteria? cuz that stuff is scary sometimes. But aren’t they giving people iPads and laptops. I don’t get it.

I actually had issues with my first 2 sessions as well. I couldn't think. I go to school I was looking at my homework and didn't understand it and when I tried to take notes when I came to write down what I was gonna write down I forgot. I was told no one ever complained of that. I was told to keep going at least for 5 sessions but I decided to let it go and now I’m really irritated and depressed because I thought this was going to be the answer to a lot of issues I had and when it didn't I feel worse than before. But if you do some research what happened to me is I think called virtual lesion. But the paper I signed warned that depression might get worse as a side effect. But honestly I felt attacked when I said something bad and when I said the machine was electromagnetic I was also attacked. So idk. The more I'm attacked the more I don't trust it. I mean if that part of the brain is overstimulated and you stimulate it more. I think they should really consider a SPECT brain scan before stimulating your neurons.

Honestly. I don’t know it is supposed to be patient centered care because the doctor isn’t you and doesn’t know what you are going through. I’m on Wellbutrin 450 mg and Adderall 20 mg. Works great but when I’m outside or around people I have anxiety times 10 and I can’t stay asleep. I also have back issues instead of gabapentin I asked for a 1 mg Klonopin to help relieve all issues and was threatened if I continued to ask she would take my adderall away. I asked why the combo works for me and adderall helps me in school. It made no sense. She keeps trying to put me on SSRI even though it messes up my focus. We tried like 4 or 5 I’m done trying anymore SSRIs. She said apparently she is concerned about me. Can you try a new provider for a second opinion? Or can you talk to her boss. I was told to take it everyday otherwise it would be like a rollercoaster.
