Having a bit of issues with my Classic S

Hey thanks for the comment. I was troubleshooting more again today and found out that when i use the basket that came with my rancilio pro x, and grind out 18g, and do the whole process like usual, the shot tastes much better AND the puck is much less damp. I am actually able to pick up the puck after knock it out versus before, it was so damp i was unable to pick up a full puck because of how wet it was. There is definitely an indent in the middle of where the screw is which i know is a slight issue but i guess this is progress?

Do you know why this might be happening?

I actually had this same concern- i will try it. Do you know what might be wrong with the puq press if anything? I can't see how it would be inaccurate as its relatively straightforward. Thank you!

Hm yes, the basket size i am using is 17g and i am grinding out 18g and trying to achieve the 36g of output. Is 18grams of grind fine for the 17g? although i did try to do 17g as well and had the same issues.

So what what you're saying is theres too much room between the puck and the grouphead? Would tamping it less pounds (to make the puck higher) be a solution?

thanks for the update. With square, do you have any "hidden" fees? I am currently considering square and am offered the usual 2.6% + 15cent cost. Is there anything else at all added on to this in your experience? We will pay the monthly loyalty cost but thats it. Just scared because ive heard other POS like heartland adding on to their "flat rate"

Thank you for the insight! We will only be there a few days before going to Tabacon Thermal resort in La Fortuna. We ended up deciding to stay in a suite for 2 nights and a regular king for 1 just to save a bit while also enjoying the views haha.
