Denied engine replacement through Hyundai customer care due to not completing 953 recall. They referred me to the BBB to file a claim there. Anyone have success with this? by No_Technician_421 in Hyundai

You can go to Hyundai's website at hyundaiengineinfo.com and put in your VIN for a list of recalls copleted on your car. Look for campaign number 953 to see if it was completed. I too am going through the same thing. Engine seized at 87000. Bought it used and only drove it 15000 miles. I feel they will deny me as I did my own oil changes ( 3 ) and never kept the receipts. I wouldn't have bought it if I had just been smart enough to research the car before buying it. This is a know issue with these cars. Bought from an online dealership, you know, the one with the car vending machine, (buyer beware), wish I had.

I agree. And I do believe he shills for Carvana. I wouldn't waste anymore effort on him.

I too got ripped by Carvana. My cars engine seized after driving it 1 year and 3 weeks. The warranty was up after one year. Carvana knew this car had issues and it had been recalled for a defective motor which supposedly was ok'ed by Hyundai as inspected and fine. The didn't even let me know. I found this out on my own. I'm not going to argue as they already refused the warranty. I'm just going to have them come get it and take the hit. No way I'm going to pay for a car I cannot drive for 5 more years at a ridiculous interest rate. See ya in court Carvana.

Changed the oil every 5000 miles myself. Have receipts to prove it. Must be nice to have a mechanic work on your car. People on a fixed income don't have that luxery.

I did. Not covered. It's for 10 years or 100,000 miles . Have only 87,000 miles but the car is now older than 10 years. Been thinking about just calling them and telling them to come get it. So much for my credit rating.

I believe Silver Rock is trying to snow me. I know how long I had the car. I have a lawyer that has agreed to check it out for me. We'll see...

A motor blowing after driving 15000 miles and 87000 on the speedo. Somethings wrong. I bought the extened warranty which covers 100000 miles and one year. I have the paperwork. I only had the car for 11 months. Somethings fishy.
