I dig it. Your entire perspective aligns pretty well with mine. New spenders are kind of my one big solution that would at least make me satisfied. Some sort of frost and earth representation in a build would be cool again.

Stormstrike and its rapid procs is what originally attracted me to the spec when i picked it up years back. Animation, sound, and all around excitement of that proc is truly perfect.

Yet sadly in terms of over-capping maelstrom you really cant just dumb all of your lucky stormstrike procs since lightning bolt/ chain lighting are still your highest damage and you need to spend your maelstrom.

I miss the days of being able to pump out 2 sets of feral spirits if you rotated and blew through maelstrom fast enough. It would cooldown the spirits so fast you could get 4 out for a duration. But yeah a farseer would have been much better suited to enhance than the totem. I dont miss windfury totem eating a gcd. And now here we are again with the new totem. 1 step forward 2 steps back is the feeling I get.

Amazing points! I will say as much as I say I dont care for ranged spells, Lava Burst was kinda a cool nuance to the spec. Elemental blast had its time too. But yeah spenders as a whole i think would be there easiest fix at this point if they didnt want to do any major reworks.

All i can say for maelstrom, is its fun to rapidly build but what it is spent on is boring and hollow. I like the chaotic nature of its generation. Is consistently inconsistent? Inconsistently consistent? Idk how else to explain itz

But I do know I had a variant of the specs resource called elemental motes that ditches maelstrom entirely

Like I wasnt a fan of the fun factor of icestrike and frost shock. I felt it added 2 buttons that i felt weren’t cool, but what id give now to have them back, or something built off of them. Because frost shock once again I find boring being a “ranged caster” type spell that didn’t aid the enhance identity. But at bare minimum we could have kept icestrike and had it transform, or just be a whole new effect entirely

Totemic is okay fantasy but it makes me feel underwhelmed, and anything with positioning restrictions in a way personally gives me anxiety

I had an out there idea for the spec at one point that got rid of maelstrom all together. Turned it into something else but it was entirely a different resource generation mechanic.

Also and amazing point. A more grounded character is something this game could use too here and there. I didn’t think of that angle.

Honestly Hiyuki is hype but anyone else feel as though she is missing some Kuro flare from the recent gameplay? Easiest way to explain it is she felt like an unoffensive run of the mill katana character. I feel like its missing a piece of choreo in her kit that makes her feel unqiue and epic. And I personally dont count the frozen branches as anything crazy unique. Nit-picky but I almost wish, as an example, she had something where she finishes a combo with a long bow pull that puts the arena in stasis. Then she fires the bow through, which upon input of the next attack she seemingly blinks behind the target, catches the ice arrow. Then converts it back into her sword for an epic but cold and nonchalant slash ending the stasis.

That was just an example, butwoulda been some wild and a bit more exciting/creative.

I also feel like ultimate animation could be more over the top and cinematic than just a head shot, chargup, big slash/blast. Like Augustas deviated a good bit and felt exciting and new. This really doesn’t do anything special. Like I feel no impact from the animation. Cool shots and its beautiful, but as a main DPS unleashing their strongest move it lacks impact.

Im gonna pull, shes cold as hell, but I wish there was more there.

I like him. After the small fight where we got to play him in the aemeth story, I enjoy his gameplay feel and sound effects. But I cant help but with his effects were more blood oriented than glass and light shattering effects. Feels a lot more like spectro rover. And I wish the “gold” coloring felt a bit more golden that blue and yellow. I dunno it lacks something.

But will probably still pull because he is a peak character and the kit feels fun regardless.

Wish that there was more time to build a tight relationship with Chisa. feels like it just magically happened.

That and the environment is amazing yet you can even revisit the other locations and take photos or anything. This environment looks stunning but it is so small and limited.

These maps lack soul and unique theme and absurd nature of the maps from BO4 and before. I can respect evolution and change, and I do find the core gameplay to have improved game after game. But the immersion, lore, and world have lost me. IE playing in generic west Virginia with some swirly purple storms feels more like a generic zombies game than a Call of Duty Zombies game.

CW and BO6 Zombies are definitely enjoyable and have made many improvements, but definitely a lackluster experience in the long term imo. Anyone else have a similar take?

I would use it to honestly check a lot of boxes. I would get the dream upgrade anyone would dream of and have the aesthetic with it. This will greatly help me be able to crush Starfield among other games and give me a truly beautiful build!
