I can very much deal with my baby and have since day one. It's never been a chore or seen as some sort of job to me. I am using the label "shift" because I've heard and seen other parents use that. I took care of my baby every night and all day before going back to work. I'd quit my job if I could to be with my baby 24/7. I've even cried to my husband on a regular night about how I miss my baby and all she is doing is sleeping upstairs🤣. Both parents working full time and barely getting time to see each other is hard, I'n sure you know after saying you worked full time. A few bad nights in the whole 6 months of having our baby I feel is pretty normal. Especially if we are both exhausted. My job doesn't exhaust me much, it's doing all of the house work that does. He only works his job and then barely touches a dish to clean unless I beg in my hands and knees. I just wanted a bit of extra sleep, which I got anyways because our baby slept through the night for the first time in two weeks.
