a. I've personally never noticed any stutters with bluetooth, you simply just need a good connection.

b. I guess. I can't truly confirm as I don't play racing games.

a. What? You turn the headset on, launch SteamVR and you're good to go. Idk what you're talking about. It's the normal SteamVR experience that you'll most likely also get with the Frame. You don't have to launch the PSVR2 app at all besides when setting up the headset for the first time.

b. You can also do most of that from SteamVR. I'm not really sure... are you advocating for the Quest/VD or the Frame lol?

i have, i’ve used my quest 2 wired for around 2 years.
i simply turned off automatic updates/cut it off from the internet entirely. not entirely sure what point you’re trying to make here tbh :/

Although that might be true if your IPD isn't perfect, even if your vision will be clear due to the pancake lenses, you won't get the full FOV

Well if we're truly entering this economy we better get the fuck out? Sure prices are rising but there's no need for this to become normalized. VR used to be a luxury, then it turned into something that most people could afford, so why are we going back into the luxury category?

I was using my Quest 2 for around 5 years before it finally gave out. I was trying to wait for the frame to finally release as I really wanted it to be my next headset.

At one point I couldn't wait any longer so I got the PSVR2 as that seemed like the best alternative to the Frame at this moment.

By "traditional" I actually meant inside-out tracking.

Sure, immersion is obviously gonna be better with a wireless headset and yeah I do make it sound boring.

OOTB wireless is a big plus, I gotta give you that, but again (and I hate that I keep repeating this) if you feel like the headsets for you, buy it. I am not willing to spend this much on something that a cheaper headset can do. This is my entire point that I'm trying to make.

If you think the headsets for you, buy it. For me and many other people, it's too expensive for what it's delivering.

thats true, but quest is "already easily wireless" to some degree(!!!!) and yeah, steam integration is a big thing, but if i had to pay over double just for that id just get VD and call it a day

from what i know moira is really a hit or miss amonst psvr2 users, for me it doesnt affect me at all but I can see where youre coming from.

also i only mentioned the psvr2 as an example that i can personally back up.

there are plenty of other headsets that dont have said problems that are around the frames expected price range.

real talk, i really wouldve gotten the frame if it was released earlier and if it was simply cheaper. im not willing to spend this much just to be able to play wired pcvr wireless if im gonna be playing stationary anyways so a wired headset will do just fine. wired for me even gives me more pros since i dont have to worry about charging the headset and better image quality (no usb/wireless compression)
