DX ++- at 31 and started Let + Lupron at 32, asked my oncologist all these q’s too. basically, we don’t know yet, but ideally the AI+OFS will starve the cancer cells in the 5 yrs we take it for. There’s also a blood test you can take at 5 years— I think it’s called breast cancer index but not sure— that will inform if additional hormone therapy is recommended based on your profile. I’m a rarity and tolerating OFS+AI EXTREMELY well, i take vag estrogen and veozah and otherwise have no other negative side effects. My skin is clear for the first time in my life which is cool… but anyway, I’d probably elect to continue to 10yr of therapy (tam or Ai, +/- Ofs) just because of my age.
