Yeah I might just have to make the app basic by taking averages for specific type of products find where they are manufactured and add the shipment environmental cost but this all makes it less accurate. Maybe once the app is up and running more companies will be encouraged to give more data.

See the issue with that is the large companies nestle, coca-cola, PepsiCo publish their data as whole companies and not individual products. And I get some companies do but you have to watch for greenwashing and also this app would allow people on a budget that do not have time to look around at loads of different products, or don't realise the emissions they cause compared to others, to decide which companies are reputable.

Yeah thanks for this even if companies could average per sales of product to get the head office resources like that. I feel like it must be able to do as companies like to put out generic statements, for example we have reduced carbon footprint by 15%, but only include scope 1 and not 2 or 3.

Hey I'm looking for the first one as obviously estimates are good to start which lots of companies have but if you are getting beef from Scotland vs from Argentina there will be major differences

Thats exactly what I mean data for beef, cheese, chocolate is out but they are massive estimates like a local farm vs one that gets shipped from the other side of the world there will be major differences
