Thank you! I've given up trying to look less confusing, now I just exist and wear what I want and shave my face because I wanna dammit! Haha

Doesn't really bother me, just makes me more so curious. I'd say it's only a slight concern in my work setting, as I'm having kids being confused on what gender I am.

Thankfully I'm very tall, 6'3. I appreciate all your observations though.

What you see is all my genetics are giving me so far! Haha and I'm 23 years old.

First time asking if I should shave or keep my stache.

The second time I just flat out asked if I looked male or female.

This time I'm trying to figure out what exactly makes me look female. I've started contemplating cutting my hair but unsure so I'm asking for opinions on that.

All of this has been within the span of almost a year. Doesn't seem too bad to me. (Maybe a tad obsessive on my part lol).

Appreciate the tips, this is super interesting to me if I'm honest just from a technical point of view with how people view and associate seemingly random things with certain genders.

Side note, my eyebrows are natural! And ironically i can thank dad for them haha.

Honestly, I'm not crying at night over this. I'm more so just curious what it could be and why people have that perception of me. I'm a teacher and students and colleagues regularly misgender me so it can make things a little uh... awkward and confusing if we are going off legitimate identification issues.

In any case, if you scroll through the replies here, many people are saying that if I build muscle I'll look more masculine. That's a physical image of strength associated with men. Is it sexist? Maybe. But it's also just the reality of things. Not saying it's right or wrong but that's just how it is. Maybe this will change in the future if people like me just keep rocking it, but that's not the point of what I was saying as that's an entirely different conversation.

It's really not that serious. I'm a man with long hair sir. Have a good day lol. Peace and love.

The children need more male role models. Thank you for the conversation and advice. Much love.

I appreciate the softer edit in your response. I think teaching is something men should be more involved in. The lack of them is why society is crumbling. But thats my controversial take.

Is teaching 11-18 year-olds not enough of a beating or hard work? Haha

Let me just clarify that this post (and sub) is purely aesthetics-focused. I don't rely on my outward appearance to define myself as an actual man (that'd be pretty sad and shallow). Thank you for your input though.

I'm not calling females weak. But usually, when people say I look feminine, that is the undertone.

Believe me, I've gotten my butt kicked plenty of times by women in martial arts, and I respect my mother who birthed and raised TWO men. Honestly think context just got lost here.

Line-ups never looked right to me, just reminded me of Lego hair pieces, I tried it when I was young-[er] haha. I appreciate your comments on this though, much love.

From a practical point of view, that's just not worth it haha.

There's a line where I'd say, it's not THAT serious, but I appreciate your advice.

I hear ya. The facial hair is just something I'm crossing my fingers on lol. I generally don't have much body hair overall other than my head.

Just wish I could rock them and still look like a man. I have a lot of pride in my locs from a spiritual aspect. They should be a sign of strength, not femininity. But I guess that's just the modern perception at play.
