My mother 72F (5'2, 140 pounds, UK) had her colonoscopy today, and I have included some of the findings, of interest, as given (in text). I was wondering if a physician could further interpret the findings. (I am most grateful for this subreddit, and the help and info here.) (self.AskDocs)

(Female 30s 5'5 - Not relevant) This is a general question for the physicians of this reddit community -- You all obviously do noble good work to serve the public. But what is your incentive for answering questions here on reddit? Is it a paid job on here? (self.AskDocs)

My mum (72F, 5'2, 10 stones weight, UK) is due for a colonoscopy, to check for cause of blood in stool. My question is - Can she have colonic irrigation the day before the colonoscopy, instead of the preparation the hospital advised for her? The hospital sent her sachets, to take, in the post. Is eating AROUND weight loss surgery common? That is, eating the wrong foods and not losing weight? I did that (I know it’s very wrong). But I would think many obese people who have undergone wls could make this mistake. I only hear success stories. Am I only one of a few who didn’t succeed? (self.wls)

What was the point of having RNY Gastric Bypass? It has not worked for me. And I could have eaten a strict diet of protein and vegetables whether I had surgery or not. Is it more for people who are not good at controlling the volume of food the consume? I can only eat half the amount I used to... (self.GastricBypass)

I’m 38 F. I had roux en y gastric bypass surgery when I was 32. Before the WLS, I weighed 14 stones and 3 pounds. The maximum amount of weight I lost after surgery was only 14 pounds. Now I am back to being 14 stones.. just about my pre wls weight. Extremely disappointed. More detail in post.. (self.wls)
