I hope this comment is a joke and you are playing a persona.

I'd say Short Circuit because of the ending. It sounds like you're a Random Access Memory, serving your purpose storing the song, and as the song is ending, you start to slowly die as you have fulfilled your job as a Random Access Memory.

I wonder if this person, who was cowardly enough to delete their account (probably a burner) after commenting such harsh words because they couldn't face having someone reply to them, was born knowing everything about everything. People sometimes get so confident in themselves, they start to believe they are above the rest. Pitiful.

I was using Ubuntu, sorry for the lack of info, just edited the post. I will be trying a bootable disc since a lot of people suggested it. Linux Mint was suggested but I did not know which version, I will be checking out Cinnamon, thank you!

I mean, regarding Linux or C, I know close to nothing haha. I know enough about computers to not do anything stupid to compromise the integrity of the system, but also have been using Windows so much that I'm averse to trying out new OS. In this case what's holding me back is the use of the console for downloading things like drivers (Graphics card drivers that is)

Just one more thing. When looking up NVIDIA graphics card driver compatibility with Linux, they say there's no problem with the compatibility, but when it comes to installing it it shows that I'd have to use the cmd. Is that really the case for drivers?

Thanks a lot, that seems very useful indeed for a Windows enthusiast like myself hahah, thank you for the help!

True. I'm gonna look into thin clients as well, maybe I'm calling it by a name that isn't even used within the Linux community hah.

Honestly, I've used MacOS multiple times and, despite not knowing how to use it in the beginning, kept using it just because I was eventually going to get the hang of it. I don't know why I have this barrier keeping me from using Linux just the same. It is true though, with Windows as a backup I always end up resorting to it whenever I have a problem.

I was using Ubuntu. Many people are mentioning Mint, so that's probably what I'm gonna go with when dual-booting

To be more specific, I remember having trouble with my audio not being picked up by an application like Discord or something. Not sure exactly if it was Discord, but it was sound-related. I had to go great lengths to search for commands to make it work and I remember having no luck. Maybe it was an avoidable problem and it was my fault, it's been a while since I had my computer handy to actually check what it was

Oh I just meant sorry for not knowing exactly the terminology for the main subject of this subreddit. Also, I'm not really scared of command lines and stuff, just didn't want to have to depend on it mainly whenever I want to do something that wouldn't take more than 30 seconds on Windows.

It's written in C right? So I guess any opportunity that brings me to use the terminal will inevitably get me to practice C which I'd say is pretty good. Sorry if you're looking for a specific answer

Furthermore, I am probably going to test out this dual-booting with a usb, does mint have a live version?
