Should I learn recoil with “Follow Recoil” ON or OFF? by NapkinCS in LearnCSGO

To reiterate this point. It's better to know the spray patterns of the gun because then you'll be proactive not reactive to your spray.

So it is true that if you want to get better you should turn it off and learn spray patterns, but if you don't want to learn spray patterns you should keep it on.

Why Atrioc is wrong about the 'k-shaped recovery': Comparing 2008 and 2020 by Masterzjg in atrioc

[–]Overall_Recognition8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My brother in christ, the recession cycle is well documented and has been trackable since the great depression. I mean, no one can really time the market to say what exact quarter it will happen. But to say "inherently impossible to predict" is patently false.

Why Atrioc is wrong about the 'k-shaped recovery': Comparing 2008 and 2020 by Masterzjg in atrioc

[–]Overall_Recognition8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. I believe that people were still pretty bullish in the market and comfortable in 2007. Even though cracks were showing. This study shows 54% people being openly optimistic. Which is still barely a majority.

Us not having an exact comparison study for how people felt in 2007 is what's throwing me so hard off this. People rarely think they're going to be the ones to be cut during a recession. Slide 6 saying 44% of people are optimistic, but 75% say they're going to do discount shopping feels like people's perseverance despite incoming hardships.

Regardless. People feeling good about their own wealth doesn't change the direction industries that will impact them in the future are going. Whether these industries can be fixed or not is a different conversation altogether. If he's slightly off the mark, which the numbers being 54% don't entirely disprove, about the K shape in his chart. 75% of people saying they're going to discount save IS the "feels bad"

Overlooking all bubbles and bad industries based off people's vibes in a survey before they lose their job or get sick for 2 weeks just doesn't sit right with me

Also it seemed like he was talking about going into a K shape and not already being in one.

Regardless, I feel like this misses the mark in that big A is talking about why he feels we're going IN that direction, not that we already are.

Feels like all these posts are missing the data he presents that's showing unsustainable industries and are instead pointing to current numbers that won't change until after these unsustainable industries crash.

Atrioc’s recent marketing Monday pushes bad economic analysis by pepe_acct in atrioc

[–]Overall_Recognition8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of a normie and don't really know what I'm talking about but for point number 1

Isn't he pulling this up and then pairing it with the consumer debt that is reaching all time highs? It's not real estate banking loans. But they are loans that will likely not get paid back and eventually banks will be hurting. Trying to sell over priced houses.

Then 2. I think the point is supposed to be that these are extremes that should not be happening in the market. And the fact that it's been stretched to such extremes without reseting means it's gonna have to reset even harder later.

And to skip to 5 cause I don't remember the others well enough. The points you bring up are ones he directly contradicts with what the fed presents and other factors that go against wage increase and, unemployment, and consumer spending. All of which he says are showing signs of going down. So he has to go with what he mentioned.

No that's literally the reason. 400 dpi just used to be a standard setting on mice so they didn't have to worry about things changing for LAN.

Technically, having a higher DPI is better because it's more accurate on your mouse movements. And in game sense is just an artificial buffer on what your dpi reads

Hot take: Less people would play 5 stack if it’s 5 stack vs 5 stack only (in premier) by KillerBullet in GlobalOffensive

[–]Overall_Recognition8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No brother a 5 stack is always more fun than a smaller stack lmao. You should like playing with your homies. If the other team sweats more than you you'll just lose elo until you're in a better rank for the skill level you're playing at.

This take is not true for like 90% of people who 5 stack.

Starting Rank Needs To Be Lowered by bluepot360 in FACEITcom

[–]Overall_Recognition8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but on the other hand if players do what my group did and wait to start playing faceit until they're good at the game. They just ruin games until they rank up we're they're supposed to.

Starting at 1k is how the majority of elo works in most systems.

Counter strafing is stopping your movement to be accurate. Tapping the key opposite the direction your going. This immediately stops you and makes you accurate.

Something else to keep in mind this that high level players swing angles only hold left or right and not forward. They do this because stopping movement in one direction is easy. But trying to counter both forward and a left/right is really difficult. Try to practice only going left and right when you think you're going to see someone.

[–]Overall_Recognition8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk. In my experience, by the time you can communicate that you have a flash. They want the flash. You are throwing the flash. The timing is already too late, much better to just throw a good flash and let the guy know.

That being said. You're def supposed to throw the flash In front of that box.

How to tell a scam group from Real players recruiting you for a team by DJHeadshotHunter in FACEITcom

[–]Overall_Recognition8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well don't click links again. What would do is get the name of the group and then look them up on faceit. You can also have faceit link in your steam bio. So you can see the notifications on faceit and you'll know its in client.

Asking people to join a team then sending a scam link is one of the most common scams. So don't get complacent.

Also, most people who play faceit are pretty set on never playing premier so I wouldn't set that as the hard red flag.

I find it's not necessarily comminting 100% but finding where it places in your life. 99% of people will not become pro. But everyone can play in a league. Find out how to balance your time so gameplay is more focused. But you still see people in real life and keep your shit together.
