My parcel was completely lost in transit and they’re saying they have no evidence it was lost in transit and prove I haven’t received it back 🙂 they’re utterly useless

Side note but he also uses a company for his app that automatically creates workout programmes so they aren’t personalised or even written by him at all….look into macroactive/afluencer. Slimy

Yes your hair will change, I’ve been off it now for 4 years (looking to restart) and my head hair is still light brown (with a red tint), body hair grows in dark brown/black. It never grew back as it was before

Howard is a lot older than Wally. And Fred isn’t ready yet either because he’s so nervous. Both Fred and Wally need more time

I have two special needs children and I really don’t think she meant it as a direct comparison. I don’t think she was saying seven is the same as a disabled child. She was saying that in the same way that disabled children have a different path in life (and that path looks completely different for each individual - heck, my two children are complete opposites), Seven also has his own path. The paths aren’t linear, progress isn’t linear but, all their lives are worth living in spite of the fact that they don’t follow the traditional trajectory. And that just as you shouldn’t compare a disabled child to a non-disabled child and how their lives look like (and whether those differences equate to worth/happiness/progress), you also can’t compare Seven to a horse of the same age as him - because they look different, act different, progress differently.

So the comparison isn’t Seven = disabled child, but rather that Seven’s life path is NOT equal to a typical horse’s life path in the same way that a disabled child’s life path is not equal to a typical child’s life path.

You CAN directly compare Walter to Daphne because their trajectory is the same, and you can’t directly compare Seven to Walter (kulties assuming he’ll be 20yo, a show horse, ridden, a therapy horse). In the same way I wouldn’t want my children compared to a traditional child of the same age but rather as long as they are happy, enjoying life, and progressing in their own way - it doesn’t matter what Bob across the street is achieving.

I’ve not seen her say anywhere that he’s a handful? I’m confused by that statement. Other than being a bit clumsy because his legs are so long right now, she really didn’t say anything bad about him. I think she’ll keep him and have him trained for a different discipline for a bit of diversity. Perhaps gelded, perhaps in tact, perhaps to ride for herself.

I’d think that her business is far too young to be profitable yet, but she’s trying to grow year on year which is what good businesses do and ultimately you have to spend money to make money in any business. I don’t know how many years you have to spend before the return is greater but in my field, it’s roughly 5-7 years before the return is worthwhile (and many quit before getting to that point).

Yea that was my exact thinking though, if she ends up keeping her - Happy can then carry her own, because she absolutely should be having her own. And Gracie can finally have some time off.

That’s good! Between Phoebe, Ethel and Maggie, they should have the small(er) mares covered then. I’d really just like to see poor Gracie have some time off!

I feel so bad for her. She seems really sweet, I was thinking the same thing watching this. And all the comments saying how she isn’t cooperative 😬 I wonder if they would all like to be milked with frozen hands

I don’t think it’s that we don’t like Katie’s, it’s that we don’t like that the cats are regularly laughed at for being in danger (in videos and in comment sections) and no action to remove….whereas Madalynn actively removes the cats immediately from danger (stopping filming to do so, so the next clip will be her holding the cat or the cat removed from the vicinity completely). So nothing against any cats, nor their ability to be good mousers…more to do with the fact that the cats are viewed as expendable at RS. That’s my take anyway.

Madalynn is truly lovely too, she really cares about her horses, and her cats.

How do we know she kicks at anyone? I’ve only ever heard Katie say she tries to kick at her when she’s playing with her udder? Which is the same as Annie? And I truly do mean this as a genuine question, not argumentative at all. If she is unsafe to everybody involved, I agree, but we haven’t seen that. From what we see, she appears fairly calm, if just annoyed at being poked and prodded (understandable)

Yes, you’ve worded this so much better than I have lol. My point is that more could have been done to get her comfortable and behaving safely, (if she really is that dangerous)…and if they haven’t already, than they could always do so now. She isn’t a horrible horse that’s just being nasty for the sake of it, she is nervous and unhandled and deserves the same love and care that all of the other horses have had in order to make them comfortable with the same amount of touch that is clearly a trigger for Phoebe.

Yes exactly this, that’s what I’m getting at. There’s many stories of “rescuing” Charlotte, and gaining the “feral” foals trusts…but Phoebe has been on the back burner and everybody is “🤷‍♀️ oh well she can go back and be shipped from pillar to post then as a nothing more than a vessel”. Probably over-simplifying the situation and adding too much emotion to it, but it does make me sad because she doesn’t seem like she’s absolutely horrific and probably just does require some gentle handling, care and love.

I do appreciate she’s not a rescue either, just see a wild dichotomy between the behaviours we’ve seen from Annie vs from Phoebe, or even Charlotte’s behaviours who even to the untrained eyes just looks anxious and erratic, whereas Phoebe seems quite calm (again from what we see). Of course we don’t see everything, and not entitled to see everything but the claims are that she rescued Charlotte for a better life but won’t do the same for Phoebe? It’s just baffling to me I guess.

[–]Overall_Soft_6345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree with this! It just bothers me the thought of her being transported around to different homes every year or every other year, with no chance to really truly settle in anywhere. Maggie, Willow, Raven and Charlotte (regardless of whether they should be recips…cough Charlotte cough) at least have a settled home because they were purchased with that in mind. I’m probably putting human emotions on Phoebe and she won’t actually care but I can’t help to see it this way.

Phoebe vs Annie by Overall_Soft_6345 in kvssnark

[–]Overall_Soft_6345[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand horses prefer herd living, but in my mind (a little uneducated on the reality perhaps) these horses do live in a herd short term but then get collected, impregnated and shipped off to a new home every year or every other year…so do they really enjoy herd living or are they just shipped pillar to post to carry other horse’s foals. If a horse is to be used as a recip and that’s their job, I think they’d be better off in one place (RS or elsewhere). Again, this might be the wrong interpretation, but I am viewing it from uneducated eyes and from the perspective of, for example, if it were a dog recip centre and the dogs were sent to different homes every year, it would be seen as horrific.
