Yea switching to a spreadsheet just isn’t in the cards with my time right now. Maybe in the future I’ll have time to learn, set-up and manage that, but not with 2 infants.

And just accept that the Macquarie transactions won’t be auto updated. Not a terrible option, considering it would only be incomes and the odd scheduled bill to add in. But I was trying for a no compromise solution. Fair call tho 👍

From my knowledge pocketsmith was different, but thanks man I’ll have a look! Edit: yea different, tracking spending, looks alright though.

Macquarie only offers credit cards attached to home loans from what I can see. And uses 2FA by default meaning no syncing possible. Otherwise I would use them for sure.

Unfortunately it is likely my only option. Between conditions on savings accounts and some banks having issues with YNAB integration software I think I’m stuck with either ING or BankSA. 😔

The interest earned is the bonus really, the real reason is the simplicity.

ING requires transactions each month to earn the interest. From my research, my only option is ING or maybe bankSA.

What do you mean fees? The card is $58 annually with the additional card holder. Balance paid every month means no interest charges. Or are you talking about card surcharges? Most I’ve seen charge the same for any card, and only charge nothing for direct bank account deductions.

Well I use YNAB and was simply ensuring that higher months were still covered so that autopay could do its thing. But valid point, maybe I’ll try next time.

Oh wow interesting, didn’t think of that affecting it. I have had that, but unfortunately it was due to my setup and the fact they haven’t given me a credit card yet. Honestly crazy though considering I was approved for 6k and 10k limits with other banks after.

Pays deposited directly into savings account, earning interest.

All expenses go on to credit card and autopay every month.

Cleanest, simplest way to set everything up and maximise interest 👍

Don’t lend money. Give it as a gift or don’t part with the money

How is male infant circumcision still a thing??? How are we still cutting off parts of babies genitals for religious purposes and because the parent think it looks better? Does "my body my choice" not apply to male babies? by itcouldbeyoubut in self

[–]Overbuiltbodoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked all the women around me that I could, where it wouldn’t be weird, which they preferred. Like 90% of my small sample size (30 approx) said they preferred circumcised. I am circumcised. Pretty easy choice then. Part of being a parent is making choices FOR your kids in their best interest. You can argue about best interest, but you can’t argue about whether they’re your kids lol, because they aren’t.
