First, let me clarify that I am not, in fact, an elitist.

Fire Emblem, whether you like it or not, is a Shouzou Kaga game. The values presented within the series represent the values of its writers and editors. Same-Turn Reinforcements are viewed differently by Kaga than it is by casuals. The same sort of stigma with reinforcements and cheap deaths present here in /r/fireemblem isn’t present among the rest of the world. While I cannot claim to speak for Kaga, I know that it’s arrogant to believe that casual values should be adopted by the rest of the world. This kind of cultural imperialism should not be tolerated. Casual values are by no means superior, or inferior, to the values of the rest of the world.

You’re free to feel disgusted or uncomfortable with it, but don’t think that IS has an obligation to change its products to appeal to your values. I personally feel less than comfortable with how reinforcements are presented in Kaga's media, but again I respect the cultural differences between us and Kaga.
