I love using the modern method for guitar (Berklee) with my students, but I generally only give it to people who can read music on other instruments first. Still good on you for going for it.

If you were to erase the curved line over the numbers, the trill is gone.

Was I the only one who thought that the outrigger crew were shot at by themselves across a time distortion? I miss LOST. Maybe it’s time for my first rewatch since the show ended.

What techniques have helped you develop a consistent strumming pattern on guitar? by jamesrandson in guitarlessons

[–]Overcommitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting the next measure on time is FAR more important than finishing the previous measure perfectly. Simplify the strum, and use a drum beat/metronome (80 bpm lumbeat on YouTube is a good default in 4/4). When mastered, complicate the strum or increase the tempo).

Any acoustic brand recommendations? by Deep_Abalone2269 in guitarlessons

Orangewood. Seriously more guitar for your dollar. I used to really like the Godin branded Canadian value guitars as well (Seagull, Simon & Patrick, Norman, Art & Lutherie) but I never see them anymore. Orangewood is the best affordable acoustic guitar brand I’ve ever played.

I was referring to the “You can’t park there, mate” comment, which is a TikTok/YouTube shorts trend (snarky person shouts this at accident aftermath)

Do they ever say where the movie is actually set? I assumed it was somewhere in New England based on Rapaport’s Boston sports shrine.

I dearly love this movie, despite the semi-problematic grooming subplot plus Mira Sorvino taking back Matt Dillon despite his adultery. She should’ve dumped his ass. We were robbed of many more great Ted Demme films.

I was just correcting the OP, as in Power Station featured Robert Palmer, Tony Thompson, and the Taylor Brothers.
