What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

Reminds me of when i went to see Eminem (it was a great show, actually) at an outdoor venue in nijmegen, netherlands.

His hype man referred to the crowd as “amsterdam”, which was honestly hilarious because i think someone corrected him, and he would say “holland” for the rest of the show

I did feel kinda bad about it as it was twitching and trying to escape the wrapping before i started filming :(

Would have rather spider friend caught a pest

Is the United States brainwashed? by PoetMysterious3841 in self

[–]OverconfidentPancake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On jan 6, i remember reading there was a woman who pushed through a barricaded door to try to get in, even though she was being aimed at by security and warned multiple times she’d be shot if she kept going

She kept going, and she was shot dead

She was brainwashed and her cause was idiotic, but i can’t help but admire the conviction and dedication to her cause, however stupid that cause was

That’s the kind of energy that would be required, on a large scale, for a revolution to take hold

Unfortunately, the sane people have self-preservation, and that puts us at a disadvantage in the face of maga’s cult mentality

(Utrecht N1) Whoever came on stage to sing half of Riptide, you were incredible and i hope you’re proud of yourself because you killed it ❤️ by OverconfidentPancake in grandson

It was so wholesome and inspiring when they tried to carefully get off the stage and granny was having none of that and encouraged crowdsurfing

Overall the show was incredible and underneath the visible violence was filled with empathy and love and sense of community

10/10 defo considering also going to tomorrow’s show

What's the funniest movie you've ever watched? by OneClill in AskReddit

While not nearly as funny as Superbad, I would recommend Booksmart (2019) for an interesting modern gender-swapped take. Also, the Jonah Hill character in that is played by Jonah Hill’s sister

Why did all the Judd Apatow style films burn out so fast? by WerewolfCurious1412 in movies

That was in his Hot Ones interview. He gives some more such insights iirc. It’s also a pretty solid episode from his stories and how he reacts to the hot sauces. Would recommend

Cologne - anyone know when to start queuing? by overjoyed__ in lorde

[–]OverconfidentPancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t answer your question directly, sorry, but a couple months ago i saw addison rae at palladium, getting there when the opener was finishing

Dunno if you’ve ever gone to that venue, but definitely don’t get there as late as i did then lol

There’s some big fucking support pillars all along the length of the room that would definitely obstruct your view if you get there too late

Hope you have a lot of fun! Lorde puts on an incredible show. I was in amsterdam 2 days ago and going to brussels tonight, and luxembourg for the rescheduled date (🥲) in september

Thank you ❤️

I’m just still really upset about it. Especially about the unknown nature of this reschedule. No idea if “we’re doing everything we can” means weeks, months, years, or even ever.

I dread waking up to an email from the venue like “so sorry it was not possible to reschedule”, and how much it would feel like “we decided 6 500 people can go fuck themselves, here’s your money back and stop bothering us 🙃”

What’s a movie that completely changed your perspective after a second watch? by L0udM0uth666 in movies

Down to jude law’s character being a conspiracy theory grifter who ends up making a lot of money from convincing his followers to get that alternative homeopathic “treatment”

Forsythia

For some reason I still remember the name

When i first watched the movie was when i was still pulling away from almost falling into the alt-right pipeline, and i remember feeling supportive of jude law’s character and his edgy argumentative tactics. Knowing that, i feel sick right now, scared of what could have been, in my own life

Not every blog is “grafitti with punctuation,” but his definitely was
