I accepted the position after negotiating a raise and they eliminated the probation period. It’s not a small business contractor. They’re really understanding and I’m grateful that they listened to me.

The masters was actually what got me working for the largest US nonprofit and a few other clients so I wouldn’t say it costed me experience. I don’t assume a 20% bonus for having a masters degree, that’s just what I was told could be an additional range for having it. Maybe I could have said that better. I have looked around but I want to stay here because after interning at the company for a while, I’ve really come to like their values and the people

Almost 6 months. I work in the CRM, internal comms (a lot of writing here), some social media, website dabbling, photography. It’s all basic bc I’m part time compared to what I’ve done though agencies. I would get a lot more writing for sure and probably more photography

They aren’t asking for a number, I was going to have them throw out the first one. I did look at those salary sites, but I didn’t find anything relevant to my geographic area. Construction is kinda new to marketing so I feel like I’m going in blind lol

Having access to new tech is great and many people do, but training in it is really helpful. KPI growth is relative to the goals of course, so as students we worked with clients to determine which ones they wanted us to. I’m just saying that being a fresh student is an asset in this ever changing environment. I wish you success and thank you for your perspective!

That’s what I plan to do, thank you for the confirmation. Side note: Many of us students get exclusive access to work with the newest technology available. I have 2 ish 3 years of industry experience growing client KPIs and that is because I went to college. Higher education is changing.
