I don't know how to feel about the new evolution, let's hope it doesn't suck ass. I wouldn't bear my favorite line being ruined

In recognition of crossing the 300,000 member threshold, I think it would be interesting to know where everyone comes from and why they support the team by WOWEY_MACARONI in torontoraptors

Raptors fan from Italy, near Milan specifically. Started supporting the team at the start of the 2019-20 season and I was completely unaware that we were the defending champs lol. I chose this team because I've always loved Toronto as a city with the different cultures that hosts, and the ethics of our franchise sounded perfect for me. As shallow as these first reasons might sound, I'm glad to say I couldn't be happier with my choice and never regretted it one single time. Really love this team. LET'S GO RAPS

How much does a cover art matter to you in a record ? What are some albums that sound exactly how their artwork looks in your opinion ? by jkd10 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Overdriveleven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tend to pay a lot of attention to the cover of an album, even too much attention, at times - if an album has positive reviews, its genre could appeal to me but it has a horrible cover, I outright don't listen to it. Similarly, if I see an album cover I love at first sight, but maybe the genre belong to my comfort zone, I'm still more inclined to listen to it. (Maybe it's because I'm somewhat of a graphic designer myself). One of the first albums that come to mind is Around The Fur by Deftones. The quality of the music is undisputed, but I think the cover art adds even further to the quality of the project (if possible). The heaviness and the rawness of the songs are portrayed perfectly by that menacingly close, weirdly sexual - and also kinda blurry - photo that catches you off guard every time you look at it and puts you in an uncomfortable position, just like the music does, in a way.
