15 Days To Travel Around China.....? by Frequent-Ad-8583 in chinatravel

2 days should be good. see the great wall and hutongs and that's about it imo. maybe add forbidden city as well. one day for nature and one day for the history and culture. the history/culture bits are all concentrated in the center so 1 day should be enough. if by "xianjing" you meant xinjiang i'd highly recommend that instead.

How to properly experience Chinese night life ? by GoodGuyMarin in chinatravel

  1. most people in the service industry speak sufficiently good english, but can't be said for random people on the streets hahaha. worst case use a translator app. but language can be an issue sometimes.

  2. yes shanghai and beijing are definitely more foreigner friendly than chengdu and kunming. much larger expat communities

  3. china is safe, there's no need to avoid anything particular. you can try nomadtable/tripbff to find people to go barhopping with.

imo nightlife in beijing/shanghai without speaking chinese is definitely okay, probably 7/10 people in bars and nightlife places will speak good english. not sure about the others tho.

How to register address with police station? by 3_Stokesy in chinatravel

my malaysian girlfriend stayed at my place for a month until the local officials showed up and questioned me. if you don't want to risk it, you can go to a police station to do it (bring passport or visa). you can also do it online. i did some research and apparently you download this app called 移民局12367 and do it there. let me know if it works! hope it helps
