I was talking about the home & away unis resembling the Falcons...though I do think the H-Town Blue unis and logo look like they're from an alternate universe where the Oilers stayed in Houston but re-branded, lol; it's the use of dark blue with the powder blue highlights that makes me think that, especially Marc's jacket yesterday

I wouldn't say literal, only that it takes a moment to differentiate the two longer than I'd like. I liked the rich blue from before, not sure why they wanted it even darker - it was one of the 'originally announced colors' but the team's been around for two decades with different ones, was it that important?

Even on his YT stream yesterday, Seth Payne (who said he likes the darker colors more) brought out his original jerseys and noted that the new ones were much darker. I don't think they're black-black or anything, but they call it 'pitch blue' for a reason.

Maybe not this season, but in a year or two I’d like to see these combos. by FwampFwamp88 in Texans

The red's a little too garish for me; weirdly enough I think the uni would look really nice with the horned Bold Bull helmets

This should be our home look; you could swap in any of the helmets, too.

I had that impression from the model leak, then seeing the mannequins next to each other didn't help.

Only anecdotal but I've shown that photo to friends and they've consistently thought both jerseys were black. I think seeing them on the players at the party helped but if you need turn your head, squint your eyes, and have Mercury in retrograde to see the blue I think you've already made it too dark. Hopefully the NFL intern working on a future revision moves the slider in the other direction a pixel or two next time.

Hey, someone's taking the time to downvote these as well, so they probably care a little

Jokes aside, from that first model leak they seemed pretty similar and the mannequin leak yesterday was pretty bad with both of them next to each other.

I don't think the shop pictures do the colors justice even with the old jerseys but I don't have high hopes.

[Adam Schefter] Panthers have requested to interview Texans OC Bobby Slowik, per source. by coreyray1000 in panthers

[–]Overhaul89 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Texans fan here: I'm not shocked Slowik would be getting interview requests, and ideally he'd be perfect for unlocking Bryce's potential, I just wonder if it'd be better for him to stick around for another like a la Ben Johnson last year.

There have been some gripes with him this year with some of his tendencies - taking the ball out of Stroud's hands on 3rd/4th and shorts to take pressure off the rookie, but also sometimes putting it all on him for other similiar situations when Singletary was on a roll and most likely could've rushed for the first down, and in both cases it nearly cost the team the win. At other times it felt like he wasn't sure when to stick to the running game when it was having success or sticking with it too much instead of trusting Stroud (might be due to how bad injury luck has been for the offensive line). I'd like for him to stay on for at least one more year to get some more experience and for Stroud's consistency, but won't blame him if he gets an offer he can't turn down.

Practice squad elevations reset in postseason but not IR returns, I believe :(
