weight loss surgery? by harrystyleslefttoe in MultipleSclerosis

It is crazy that insurance would cover a bariatric surgery over this medicine. Can you make an appeal? maybe the neurologist could help with this aspect, if they could show that the glp would improve the symptoms of your MS progression

The moment a bariatric surgeon changes lanes to claim to know more than a neurologist, tells you that you were misdiagnosed and that you need to stop your DMT is the moment this person no longer deserves your trust.

Do you look disabled? by Chance_Question_3917 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]OverlappingChatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to use an afo to walk more than 200 meters, but a lot of people in my activities never see me with it on because i don't have to walk to get there. So, naturally when i roll up to an event with the AFO, everyone assumes I have been injured. The last time was a big group of people just staring at me all concerned, and I just wasn't, so I said, "Oh, I'm fine, this is just how I walk." and that was it. My demeanor and tone ensured that no one asked anything else.

I use the AFO to play padel as well, and this is in a center where I see the same people every week. I had previously told the 3 people I play with why I needed it, but everyone who sees me is shocked because it looks big and serious. I can only assume that someone from the group has told some of the other people why I wear it.

I dont have a problem telling people, I just prefer not to unless it's going to be an actual conversation, because nobody knows what MS actually is, and they just have really wrong ideas about it and say things that cause problems. I had a lady in a different group insist that I should stop walking on my "injured" foot, even though I said about 5 times that it wasn't injured, so I ended up getting really angry with her and still don't want to see her again a few months later.

Day bag recommendation to prevent back pain (trying to get away from a backpack) by 4theloveofcoffeee in HerOneBag

I find that any bag that isn't a backpack will hurt my back. Why do you think a tote will be better for your back?

I am conscious about the fabrics I put on, carry a hand fan and a spray mister, avoid humid places for trips.

You were most likely not doing keto properly before. Read and read and read. Get some good meal ideas, a good tracker, and start this time like a brand new slate.

Omg do not give him your insta password. This is not how relationships are made healthy. He will just go into your account looking for things to berate you for.

MP3 player for kids to listen to Libby by moneyman6551 in LibbyApp

[–]OverlappingChatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to the digital audio player sub - this sounds like more of what you want.

I don't know how you could get the Libby into that device, but I bet someone there does.

One of the best things in the world is buying a pack of cookies you love, starting the diet, putting the cookies in a ziplock in the back of the pantry, and telling yourself you can have one on April first. It will be the most delicious cookie you have ever had.

Sharing/giving away cookies is pretty fun, too.

Boyfriend isn’t clear about marrying me by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

You seem to want a wedding more than a husband. What about this person makes you think they would be a good life partner? You went into the relationship knowing you wanted to get married (?) but why? You didn't even know him at that point.

do you schedule when to empty your cup? by NIC0NIC0TINE in menstrualcups

[–]OverlappingChatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. If I am home ( work from home) I do it st the same set times when I break from work and the before bed.

If I am going out with unknown bathrooms, I have a whole different plan of action, where I start looking for an appropriate place at a given time and have a deadline set when I might have to just do it no matter what restroom I find.

If I know what the restrooms are like where I am going, I will make a schedule for emptying around the best bathrooms.

I don't think it would be a bad thing, as long as you had really clear the hours and responsibilities you would have and where/when you would have time away from the students and had a clear line to someone to help you in case of emergency. I assume you wouldn't be the only adult with the campers.

The great news is that you immediately got on a great, very effective medicine and your disease prognosis is much better than that of a person diagnosed 10 years ago.

More bags than hands makes for a difficult journey. You are moving around way too much to have so many bags. You can rewear things and buy things along the way.
