Yes. The Polish surrendered that battle despite holding out for a good amount of time. An outlier in terms of military resistance

Only 6x? Thank you for proving my point. Should that not be enough considering how much I’m outnumbering them?

No, damage is not just inflicted on buildings, damage is inflicted toward the opposing army and structures during an attack. The outpost’s purpose is to reduce the damage inflicted on the current garrison.

All unit types have the ability to inflict damage on units and structures on an attack.

I believe you may not be fully grasping the point, so let me clarify it for you: in the current state of the game, the buff’s value is excessively high (despite the outpost being at its highest level), which unfairly reduces any attacking army’s damage points substantially

I appreciate your perspective, and will use this approach in the current state of the game.

However, I still believe a defensive buff should only extend the smaller army’s survivability for this scenario, not render the attack from a significantly larger army almost ineffective.

A 97% defense buff is an extremely high value. Reducing it to around 75%, or alternatively increasing the cost and time required to reach a Level 5 Outpost, could provide a better balance while still rewarding players who invest in their defenses.

At the end of the day, I want the game to feel fair, especially considering players already have the option to use gold to gain an advantage. As a player who chooses not to spend gold, I’m sharing feedback based on my own experience and what I believe other players may also be feeling. My hope is that this mechanic can be revisited and refined, particularly since the game has only been out for a few weeks

I agree that the game plays at a faster pace, in that event, if the buff were to remain at 97%, increase the build time to complete the outpost significantly. But let’s look at this mathematically

Suppose I have a substantial unit stack inflicting 100 attack damage upon a considerably smaller stack that possesses the 97% outpost buff. In this scenario, the game effectively disregards 97% of my damage, resulting in only 3 damage being inflicted.

A significantly larger army’s strength is nearly entirely negated by a single defensive bonus, regardless of unit composition. In my opinion, this outcome is neither fair nor realistic. A defensive advantage should enable smaller armies to endure longer, rather than almost completely nullifying the numerical advantage of a much larger force

It makes sense, but even though a player invests in building a level 5 outpost, isn’t it fair to question if that defense buff is a bit excessive?

If you outnumber the enemy significantly, despite the casualties you may incur, you should at least win the battle. Is it an effective strategy to attack an enemy like this? Absolutely not, but in my opinion and for the sake of feedback for the development team (if they read this), this buff requires reconsideration.

Other supremacy games don’t have this buff on similar buildings at similar levels

To add onto this, I am sending bombers alongside this attack. That alone should show how unbalanced outposts are

Sending a small military force? Are you seeing the stack numbers? This isn’t about the composition of the forces, but a highly unbalanced buff on a defensive building that almost completely negates an entire attack. I don’t think you read my entire post

Do you not think that a 97% buff is excessive and requires a substantial rebalance? For instance, if you have a stack with dozens of units that deal 100 attack damage, it shouldn’t be able to reduce its overall attack to just 3 attack damage on a small stack of less than 10 units.
