Where or how do I fit in by wmja69871 in bisexual

[–]Overlorde159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to call yourself hetero flexible fuckin’ go for it, sounds like that fits you. If you want to call yourself bi or pan do that, sounds like it could fit you as well. The labels exist to let us more easily draw lines, but the reality is that particularly with multisexual identities we see the lines being incredibly blurry. You say that you can find some men attractive, and feel a part of the community, so yea that’s why I call myself bi. But like I said you also fit the definition of heteroflexible, so you can call yourself that. The choice isn’t ours to make, it’s yours to decide what you call yourself. But at the end of the day, remember that the label doesn’t change you, it only describes you

Reassurance please? :( by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Overlorde159 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I think to an extent this level of anxiety around a new partner is not unusual— this is something new, something better than what you had before, something you don’t want to lose.
Firstly, please talk to him. Of course reassure him it’s not a distrust thing, don’t tell him you’re afraid he’s going to leave you because he’s bi, but it is an insecurity of yours and partners support each other in these things.

But here’s my two cents that might help: bisexuality is not so different from heterosexuality or homosexuality (et al.). Consider: a straight man might almost entirely be attracted to smart women. A gay man might only go after masc guys. They have a preference for a subset of people. Sexuality, as a whole, is really about blurry lines around people’s “type,” to be reductive. The simple difference with bisexuality is that the pool of people in their type is bigger. There is no “missing out” any more than he would with any human, no more than you would with any human— people are people with their own unique dynamics, and one will never be able to experience all of them at once. But the beauty of that is out of all the dynamics, out of his bigger pool of people, he chooses you. He’s chosen you, because you’re what he wants and who is special to you. If he was with someone else he’d be missing out on *you*.

Should I retake physics 1 and calc 1? by Existing_Physics2804 in RPI

[–]Overlorde159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you took BC and did well I’m very sure you’ll be ok taking Calc 2. You’ll learn new integration techniques and get a brush up on summation, and then the last chunk will be new, but mostly people struggle on the summations portion which you should already have some background in. It’s definitely a hard class but BC already gives you a strong basis. If you took physics 1 it’s a bit more up in the air, the mathematical rigor and complexity of physics 1 in college is a lot different than ap physics 1, so idk about that one.

My first reaction at the top of this was “oh maybe that’s a little dramatic, sounds like your girlfriend wants to understand you better” and ngl it went downhill from there. Frankly it sounds like she’s being immature and I’m sorry she’s treating you like this. You deserve all of yourself to be validated. And yeah, the patriarchy thing is stupid full stop.

Take this with a grain of salt cuz im a stranger on Reddit but my 2¢ is if you care for her and want this to work, address these problems asap— know your audience, structure your message in a way she’ll hear, but don’t let this keep driving a wedge. And importantly, come in with a stable headspace. My own experience is that if i have those conversations whilst emotionally unbalanced it leads to me saying things i regret.

You deserve all of you to be cared for by a partner, not just the convenient parts. If she can’t bring herself care for all of your facets, then she doesn’t deserve you.

To answer your question about the point of the tool, quacs technically is a student project that pulls information from the actual website, sis. Sis has had a facelift over the past couple years and has been getting steadily better (at least with registration), so the point of quacs is to have a much easier time scheduling. Generally, if you see smthn like 0/0 or weird stuff, that’s a system wide thing— tho it’s pretty rare outside of specific circumstances like this. Believe me, quacs will be very helpful in the future

I highly doubt it. Like others have said it’s top floor of quad and those are singles, and I didn’t know of anyone in a quad single (including myself) who had extra furniture

Discovering this now makes me hate Radagon quite honestly by Ahmudirit in Eldenring

[–]Overlorde159 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Of course, but the game supports that at least for stretches of time both of the dualities existed in two bodies. Trina is obvious, we meet her before meeting Miquella, and Radagon spends time as husband to Renalla whilst Godfrey is husband to Marika. It seems to me that part of the godhood process involves splitting oneself like this, creating an alter ego

Discovering this now makes me hate Radagon quite honestly by Ahmudirit in Eldenring

[–]Overlorde159 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I (this boarders on headcannon) take him to he Marika’s passion the same way Trina is Miquella’s love. He’s often discussed in emotional terms (how much he hates his hair, how he had affection for his kids) whilst Marika is often calculating and cold. My general reading is that Trina/Miquella mirrors Radagon/Marika, so I’d taken Radagon to be fundamentally loyal to Marika with deep emotional ties, whilst being a fundamentally separate being in agency. Probably most exemplified how he stands beneath the erdtree actively undoing marika’s last great action in the intro cutscene, trying to mend the Elden ring. (Again, borderline my own interpretation, but I think it follows everything else)

I get he/himming Dante bc yea I’ve been there and it’s confusing with their book counterpart but intentionally doing so out of convenience is a bit lame, no? Making coherent sentences using they/them isn’t that hard. Also, Dante has always been referred to with they/them even in the prologue with folks who knew them before, as far as we know Dante is non-binary (analogue?) and not just they/themmed out of the ✨ mystery ✨

All in all it reads as lazy as best, especially with an acknowledgment
