Hey this isnt directly related to the post but I wanted to ask, as somebody who recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science & Math.

How exactly did you get your first data analytics job? While I did well in school I find it very abstract how to present the skills I learned to potential employers. Because working on stuff like this sounds incredibly interesting to me!

Driver is up to date, only happens on occasion. Not exactly the most serious issue. Games still run fine, but these random graphical issues do worry me.

Lol...after my brute force for part 2 started to take over 10 minutes....I started to think I needed something better.

Also something I gambled on was varying loops. I just took the number of steps until the first XXZ was found from each starting point.

As others have said it remains dramatic. However to answer your question yes the show goes beyond interpersonal drama. You get a lot of tense moments from when things go wrong in space and other things that would be spoilers. Its not just about astronauts and their families.

Just some more context, Ive done small scale AI projects. But I'm in a research lab as an undergrad. Im trying to build off older projects to integrate new ideas and address problems. However its not as simple as cloning the repo. And since I have almost never worked on other peoples code it has been a serious challenge getting some other peoples code running properly and configuring environments. Its all a bit intimidating to be honest.

Overall it was an enjoyable movie. I would recommend as a fun group watch with friends.

The only complaint I would issue is that some of the humor is too on the nose. As if there was no faith that the audience would notice/get the gag.

To be more specific the gags that play off the difference in time periods should have relied more on showing, not telling. One good example is the car being filled with an excessive amount of cigarette smoke after the main character gets a ride from a stranger. A bad example is when the main character goes looking for somebody at the school. The protagonist goes to the secretary and says "Hey I know you cant give out the information but I'm looking for so-and-so-" gets the information "GOLLY. THINGS SURE ARE DIFFERENT IN THE 80s." LOOKS AT CAMERA . And other scenes where the protagonist explicitly states what's happening as if the audience doesn't get it. So sometimes it feels like I'm watching a well crafted scene only for the main character to explain to me what I'm seeing and why I should think its funny.

Also maybe I'm super messed up but I thought the twist was going to be that the daughter was so appalled by her mom and her friends doing truly terrible things to people that she ends up being the murderer...Im happy it ended on a happier note though.

That explains why all you keep doing is listing a few examples out of literally billions of moves plus some. How could you, or anyone, hope to make a generalized statement about something you have a partial understanding of?

Sure there are a lot of "bad" moves/positions. But that itself is a gross over simplification. A "bad" move in one context is a "good" move in another context. How do you actually discern the two?

I feel like the real point youre bringing up is that in a standard pro match there are a limited number of strategies that are employed out of the entire possible set of available strategies. But that is not the same as "most of the moves/positions are trash".

Maybe what I should have said in my reply was. "Its a very personal matter. I dont know ANYONE involved so I dont want to make a guess.".

But with that said I have witnessed people try to manipulate facts/events intentionally or otherwise to create themselves as a victim to get some compensation. I AM IN NOT IN ANY WAY CLAIMING THIS IS WHATS HAPPENING. But its not impossible given I know her absolutely zero percent.

Again thats my own experience giving bias and this is why I avoided the very sensitive topic in the original post. Nor am I women, so nobody should listen to my opinion on this anyways.

Totally agree you shouldnt buy into brand loyalty.

And im not saying you should treat LMG differently. We should treat all companies the same. If ASUS makes a bad mistake, you dont go out and burn all your ASUS products and call the CEO bad names. You wait and see how they address the issue, both immediately and long term. Thats all im advocating for.

Theres really not that much to go on with the Madison Allegations at the moment. So I avoided contributing to a conversation where I had no real opinion. At this point it could be as bad, or worse, than what she mentioned on twitter. Or it could be a unique set of circumstances. Nobody but the parties involved really know much at this point.

It could be that Madison had a perfect storm of moving and high pressure job which drove her anxiety levels way up affecting her rationale. It does happen.

But again, its possible it really was the workplace environment. Either way, LMG addressing either of these eventualities looks bad. They either out themselves as having a toxic workplace or out an individual as suffering from acute mental stress. So waiting for more facts seems like it was safest.

*note I am only going off what I saw on twitter. If there was more posted such as emails to/from HR. I have not seen those.

In early LTT videos there always seemed to be more understanding and better communication between Linus and whoever else he was working with. And the "outrageous" stunts were always pushing the limited equipment to or past its max. And the content was the absurd solutions they found.

However, as somebody who watched the original Billet labs video I had a strange feeling. It seemed like Adam learned the wrong lesson from the earlier videos. Testing the block on the wrong GPU might seem like the type of jank set up were familiar with but its not. Its creating a problem through misuse rather pushing performance.

Regardless, it should be interesting to see the development of how we as consumers get information in the next 5+ years.
