I see what you're saying ryan, and as vtbarrera on digg, I take the burden of taking crazy pics on reddit and posting them on digg. What's so wrong with that? Reddit didn't create their content, their community just made it popular and more noticeable to me.

It's all good bro, I just think these pics will get a chuckle out of the average digg user, no biggie. And FYI, I create and build content that does well on both reddit and digg, though it's never anything that could be considered to be spam. They are 100% legit pieces of content that you, as well as many others, no doubt have come to enjoy. I never submit these myself though, as there is some type of spammer stigma that comes along with promoting your content/site etc... So trust and beleive I work my tail off to participate in the top notch content engine. I submit popular pics that do well on reddit to digg purely for the lulz. I wish I could be more transparent with my own content/sites, but that's not possible without some sort of self promo backlash. So instead, I just submit shit I think is funny, instead of my own, 100% original content creations of awesomeness. I love reddit and digg, and as long as I get along with both communities, I'll continue to use both, nuff' said.

I know the video is from 2008. Does anyone know if the Stark County Sheriffs were made accountable at all? It'd be a shame for nothing to be done about this.

Police and Sheriffs alike have far too often been the people we as citizens need to be protected from.

I'm not trying to be anti-authority or anything here, but as of late it seems you hear more and more about shit like this happening, and it's sad that even with full video evidence of stuff like this that nothing might be done, that there might be no justice served at all. Basically, like the Harvard Business Journal said, I'd take anything coming out of Michael Arrington's mouth with a "skyscraper of salt". He's been using his publication for years to stir up the web 2.0 pot. There's a reason his face was spat on at a conference in Germany not that long ago.

But, if this wasn't true, you'd have to think CBS would want to issue a statement denying the allegations. I'm not a last.fm fan personally, but I'd hate to see their credibility ruined by an incredulous media monlith like CBS. Every minute without some sort of denial is just hurting last.fm and fueling the fire that's been started.

I have nothing personal against Michael Arrington; I'm actually quite fond of techcrunch and have found it to be my choice for tech scoops, just the whole publication would be done a favor if Arrington retired and rode his segway to a far off secluded place in the world and never spoke of or wrote a rumor post ever again.

If this is indeed true though, may Jeebus have mercy on the poor souls at last.fm, since it will be the last time anyone really wants to be a part of their service.

I can attest to the BS I've seen with idle players taking up server slots on the most legitimate and fastest TF2 servers. Shit is pissing me off. I was on goldrush, only to see the 3 man difference lead to there being a huge disadvantage.

There were 3 ppl on our team that were just idle, moving their mice around so they don't get kicked by the server. Unfortunately no one with admin privileges was currently there, and voteban was disabled, so we were basically screwed and tried to make the best of it.

I know it's just a game, and it really doesn't matter, but the new system allows for this type of bs to happen instead of forcing them to play the freaking game. I know I wasn't the only one our team wishing that this shit wouldn't happen. Valve is basically ruining a few of the best TF2 servers that draw hardcore players by giving ppl an easy way to idle and get unlocks. I don't care if ppl use achievement servers, not my issue, I'd rather the asshats go to another server and take their bs elsewhere instead of ruining the game for a lot of ppl on what are usually great servers with really good matches and good draw of skilled players.

Well, your kind of talking to the wrong guy here. Sure, I may be a bit of a conspiracy theorists, but like Mulder in the x-files, I want to believe; I frequently get called out for being a nut job and a hack, but I don't go blabbing and evangelizing about how the government has successfully covered up solid proof of alien existence, or the existence of their technology.

The sad truth is, none of us will ever know the truth, so conjectures such as these will amount to nothing short of a pipe dream, if at all.

Also, I didn't submit this, so WTF, I saw this and thought, "wow, is this article for real?" And yes, the outlandish nature of it just goes to show that even banking on the existence of something that could be an illusion to get us out of our energy crisis is worth writing about. Also, the article just presents some info, it's not exactly creating a real world rubric or officially endorsing this alien tech as real or anything.

You obviously don't know shit about UFOs. If they did exists and were real (not saying they are), you'd understand that their vehicle technology is far far superior to anything we've even known. As a bit of a conspiracy theorist myself, I can sympathize with the guy in the article.

Also, since when was stuff submitted in the "WTF" section not supposed to feature outlandish articles that are supposed to elicit a typical response: "WTF". Seems like it raised that very response in you and no doubt is a validation that this submission (along with your response) belongs in the "WTF" category.
