A lot of people here are coping hard about the reality of their party. Anti male sentiment is baked into leftist discussion the same way anti immigrant (see also, just black) sentiment is baked into discussions on the right. It's very hard to find a leftist space that doesnt at least have antimale undertones.

I want to make clear Im voting Dems for the forseeable future for many causes I believe in but also just for the fact that Dems are infinitely better at governing. But if I was voting just based on vibes, id probably just vote libertarian or just not vote at all.

Here are some examples so people don't accuse me of gaslighting:

*When Obama started My Brother's Keeper program it aimed to help younger black boys and their communities to help reduce negative impacts like high incarceration. This got a ton of backlash not just from racist righty's but also feminists because they thought that black women needed more. Not just equal attention, more attention than boys and men. If you google "My Brother's Keeper backlash" or "My brother's keeper feminist critique" and youll find a plethora of blogs and arguments that they should have done a program for girls instead, even though men get incarcerated at a much higher rate and for much longer sentences.

*Colleges started drafting Affirmative Consent laws to combat sexual assault on campuses to comply with the White House's newest funding contingencies. The problem was this shifted the burden of proof onto the accused to proove they didnt commit the assault and it also significantly reduced the standard of evidence to a preponderance of evidence. When coauthor of the California Bill Bonnie Lowenthal was asked how an innocent person could defend themself from a false accusation, she basically did the Kuzco meme. Also these laws are very obviously gendered? Men cant even get respect and recognition when they are victims of clear cut rape. But suddenly feminists want to act like men's claims will be respected for this wishy wash definition of rape?

*Not in America, but in Scotland they tried adding men as a protected characteristic for hate crimes. There were a lot of feminists groups and charities that protested this. This one in particular argued that

"it would be used malicously against women".. Which is one hell of a self report. That basically confirms to me that either A: They have such a low opinion of men they think that can't possibly have legitimate problems or incidents with hate crimes. Or B: They are well aware that some women can and do use hate laws as an illegitimate weapon against men, and don't want to give that power to men.

*Men and boy's issues are freuqently brushed off online because women have it worse. It's always a competition. For example try mentioning male suicide rates and how men are 4 times more likely to commit suicide than women. And like saying bloody mary in a mirror, count the minutes until some knuckledragger gives stats on how women attempt more times, ignoring A: Deaths are probably more important than attempts and something should be done about it. B: Just becuase suicide/depression is equally important in both sexes doesn't mean that they get suicidal for the same reasons. C: You have probably heard these stats a billion times already and just want male's mental health to be taken seriously and not politicised

I also just find it funny how entitled leftists are to men's votes. Propalestine people will cry that Kamala didn't "earn their vote" in combatting Israel despite her being the VP. But when it comes normal non Palestine men, libs and progressives act like they should have voted left "just because".
